■チェコのサマー キャンプ、ドイツのブルマ再び、バルト三国のブルマ

チェコとアメリカのサマー キャンプ

先日のことだ。

Deviantartのこちらの記事を読み返していた。二列目の写真に、チェコの女の子のブルマー姿の写真がある。

また、ヤフー知恵袋の次のページも見返していた。

そこで思い至った。これはサマーキャンプなのではないか？

欧米では、子どもが親元を離れて何日か自然の中で過ごすサマーキャンプが盛んだ。では、そこでもブルマー姿だったのではないか。そこで、チェコ語で「Letní tábor. dívka. vintage fotografie」と検索した。「サマーキャンプ、女の子、ヴィンテージ写真」という意味だ。

すると、上の写真とは違って白黒写真なので色はわからないが、実際にブルマー姿で過ごす女の子が見つかった。

個人的に興味深かったのは、以前書いたアメリカでのサマーキャンプとの関連だ。

今までグーグルやツイッターの検索でブルマーについて調べていたのだが、そういえばFacebookはどうだろうと思って検索してみた。すると「gym knickers」「navy knickers」「basketball scungies」のキーワードで「60年代あるある」「昔の学校」みたいなアカウントがヒットした。実は今までフェイスブックの検索はアカウントを探す機能しかないと思い込んでいた。それぞれの記事を検索できるのね。

そこで自分は、今までグーグルでは見つけられなかったドイツのブルマー「Turnslips」を検索してみた。すると次の画像がヒットした。

こちらは当時のドイツのカタログだ。図のように、Knabつまり少年用のところに、ショーツ型のブルマーが描かれている。自動翻訳すると次のような個所がある。

ちなみに、ブルマーをリトアニア語で探そうとしたのだが、出力された「žydintys」は「咲く」という意味だった。「ブルマー」を英語経由で「bloom」と解釈したらしい。言語によってはブルマーがうまく翻訳されないので、やはり自動翻訳に頼りっぱなしなのは危険だ。

学校の体育も体育大学も一緒くたなので、ブルマーの存在を確かめたにすぎず、どの程度普及していたかは不明だ。ブルマーの各言語での名称も不明。

なお、バルト三国では今でもナチスの鍵十字だけでなく、共産主義のシンボルである槌と鎌を公共の場に掲げることは禁止されていると聞いた。

感想

フェイスブックもかなり資料として使えそうだ。

また、今までは昔の写真や文章だけを検索していたが、当時のカタログの存在は盲点だった。これは素材や色合いなども細かく載っているだろう。

一方で、フェイスブックを使った調査はもやもやするものがある。もちろん、基本的には本人や関係者がアップロードしているのだろうが、すべてがそうではないだろうし、本来の意図と違って歴史の調査として使うのは何となく後ろめたい。

僕はネットとは危険なもの、個人情報を安易に出してはならないものとして育ってきた世代で、facebookに始まり TikTokに続く顔出しの文化にはいまだになじめない。

少なくとも自分は子どもを授かったとしても、写真をSNSに載せることは決してしないだろう。

また、ブルマーが男の子のものでもあったということも知らなかった。

衣服や露出の強制は女性同様、男性でも問題になりうる。実際、20世紀の欧米の体育は、男性が上半身裸でやっている写真もある。

今の学校での水泳の授業は、男性も上半身を覆える。いい傾向だ。

あと、最近は「ポーランド　ブルマ」「チェコ　ブルマー」と検索すると、自分の記事が上位に出てくることが多く、照れくさい。

■広告 ブロックはフリーライドではない。どんどん広告 ブロックを使え

こんな記事が話題になっていた。

個人的にはこうしてお願いを出すのは真摯だと思うし、良質なコンテンツを提供するサイトが続く世界であればいいと思う。

だが、ブコメでこのような意見が目につく。

id:hyperpeppy 広告が不快とか詐欺が危険なのはわかるけど、なぜそこで「サイトを見ない」じゃなくて「ブロックして見る」になるのかわからない。見る以上は対価を払えよ。

また、他の記事のブクマではこんな意見が散見される。下記2記事より引用。

私はこれまで世の中の人は広告に対して興味がないものと思っていた。コンテンツブロッカーを使わなければwebが見れないのは少数派なのだと。だがどうやら異なるらしい。広告収入が減るくらいコンテンツブロッカーが広まっているのならば、そのビジネスモデルは間違っている。

個人的にはいまの広告配信型ビジネスモデルは限界だと思う。コンテンツ制作者と広告配信者が一致していないせいで、ノイズでしかない広告が差し込まれる。質の高い広告とはたとえばYouTuberのレビュー動画やオモコロのPR 記事のようなものだと思う。PR 記事や動画をクリックしてみにいくとき、つまり能動的に広告を見に行くとき、ウェブサイトに差し込まれる広告のような嫌悪感はない。その広告を見たくてみているので。

（これは余談だが、個人的には広告よりもたとえばコインハイブのようにPCパワーを奪ったり、InstagramやTiktokのように完全に嗜好に合致しており煩わしくないと感じる広告の方に未来があると思う。そしてもちろんそのような広告たちもブロック可能であるべきだ。）

コンテンツブロックはマナー違反なので黙ってやれという意見がある。私はそうは思わない。私は無差別に投下された汚い広告がwebを埋め尽くす世界を望んでいない。間違ったビジネスモデルでなければ生き残れないサービスは滅びた方が良い。それを滅ぼすかどうかは私たちが決める。サービス側ではない。

金を払いたくないから課金していないという話ではない。私はそのビジネスモデルが正しいと感じ、続いて欲しいと感じたならば課金している。（たとえばNetflixやSpotifyやIFTTTやPinboardやDeepLやChatGPT PRO）

もちろん私が広告を見ない権利があるように、サービス側にも広告を見ないユーザをブロックする権利があるのだろう。ユーザのバンが認められる国や法があるとは思わないが。

改めてであるが広告モデルだけが全てではない。ユーザーへの不便の押し付けではなく、サービスのアップデートで覆すべきだ。NetflixとSpotifyが違法ダウンロードを駆逐したように。

もっと広告ブロックを使え。Twitterはwebなりtweetpdを併用すれば広告は消える。Wikipediaには募金しろ。もちろん支援したいサイトはホワイトリストに入れるのも良い。やりようはいくらでもある。くだらない未来を甘受するな。

お前らいつ勝手に去勢された？お前の端末はお前の延長だ。自己決定権を取り戻せよ。

うん年前は私も大学で学生実験をやっていたわけだが、生成物を舐めるなんて発想はとてもじゃないが出てこなかった

前述の本を読んでいると「申請すると許可が下りるわけないので自分の体で実験して事後報告した」みたいなエピソードが出てきて笑う（笑えない）

まあ味の素の研究所なら舐めても不思議じゃないかもか……

畑が違うと全然感覚違う、ということか

でも薬学系とか食品会社の研究所でも一度動物に摂取させるとかやると思ってたんだがな、きっと普通はやるのかもしれないが一部の人がいきなり舐めたのかもな……

なぜニトログリセリンを舐めようという発想が出てきたのか？を伺い知ることが出来そうなエピソードもぐぐったらでてきた

２０世紀初頭にイギリスの火薬工場で、週日の作業中は何も起こらないのに休みが終わって月曜日の仕事が始まると決まって胸痛を訴える工員が何人もいることが話題になりました。最初は工場で扱っている爆薬が原因で起こる病気を疑ったのですが、もともと持病に狭心症のあることがわかりました。
それというのも、原料であるニトログリセリンの粉塵が工場内に舞い、露出した皮膚や粘膜からある成分が吸収されて狭心症が抑えられていたものが、週末に休みをとることで粉塵にふれることもなく薬がきれて、月曜日に力仕事を始めることで狭心痛が起こったと推理されたのです。
痛む胸を押さえて、それこそ青息吐息の月曜日になったことから、「ブルーマンディ」という言葉が生まれたようです。今日では休日明けで、仕事や学校に行くのが億劫になる月曜日の憂鬱、月曜病の走りとなりました。

火薬工場のエピソードは20世紀初頭……1901年頃ということになる

再発見されたのか？だとすると最初に舐めたフィールドって医師は推測無しに舐めた好奇心旺盛な人ってことになる

火薬工場のエピソードのしっかりとした出典を探すべきだな

原典だと20世紀初頭じゃなく19世紀末～20世紀初頭みたいな書き方になっているのかもしれない
