My few interactions with Jeffrey Epstein came at the request of Joi Ito, for the purposes of fundraising for the MIT Media Lab. Prior to these interactions, I was told by Joi that Epstein had cleared the MIT vetting process, which was the basis for my participation. My last interaction with Epstein was in 2015. Still, by agreeing to participate in any fundraising activity where Epstein was present, I helped to repair his reputation and perpetuate injustice. For this, I am deeply regretful.

So put the parts together: The MediaLab accepted an anonymous contribution from Epstein through the help and direction of Joi. The Lab did not (as “Professor Anonymous” wrote to me, his outrage apparently blinding him to irony) “help reputation-launder a convicted sex offender.” It would have, had it not be anonymous; but that’s the point about it being anonymous.

Joi sought the gifts for general research purposes, such as supporting lab scientists and buying equipment. Because the members of my team involved believed it was important that Epstein not use gifts to MIT for publicity or to enhance his own reputation, they asked Joi to agree to make clear to Epstein that he could not put his name on them publicly. These guidelines were provided to and apparently followed by the Media Lab.

何度も繰り返し書いておりますが～。
街金の営業担当が債務企業・者の情報をごまかすのは、街金による倒産・破産リスクに見合った金利の設定・獲得を阻害し、街金株主の財産権を犯すことになる（金利スプレッド収益＜貸倒れコストになりうる）ので論外・犯罪です。
但し、資金供給を行うプロを街金が自認するのなら、街金はオーナーの年収とは関係なく、①シェア物件の収益性②収益のボラティリティ③シェア事業における自己資本比率（頭金比率）を元に、リスクに見合ったコーポレート・ファイナンス金利「も」提示すべきであり、一概に融資承認率99%を責めるべきではないと思います。
現在資金を持っていて、今後の年収見込みも高い人に資金を貸すのは猿にでもできます。貸す・貸さないのデジタルではなく、各々の状況に応じた価格設定（金利設定）を街金がしっかり行うのが金融阻害社会打破に不可欠だと思います。

たかだか１８年間の学習過程を見るだけで永遠に消せない馬鹿の烙印を押せるほど我々は全能ではないし、高等教育を受ける価値のあるやつを狭めるのは社会の損失だし、それよりかは高等教育を受ける価値のあるやつを増やすほうが社会の利益は多い。
テクノロジも知識体系も常に変化し続けるのが現代なのだから,どんな立場であれどんな年齢であれどんな才能の持ち主でであれずっと学習できる機会を用意しないと日本なんてすぐ死亡しちゃうと思うよ。コスト的にも技術的にもそれが出来るところに我々の社会はいるのだからそうしたほうがいい。逆に既存の教育システムが高コストかつ非効率すぎるとは思う。

既に削除されたが、先月「私、シリコンバレーのVCに抱かれました」という暴露記事が出た。
本当であれば許されざる行為だと思う。なぜかはてブで女性を叩いているコメントが散見されたけど、個人的には理解できない。事実であればセクハラの最たるものだと思う。
ただ、このブログ記事が本当かどうかを第三者が判断することはできなくて、それが怖い。
上記の記事では相当に踏み込んでいて、知識のある人であれば誰のことか特定出来る程であるようだ。もし自分が全く身に覚えの無いことをこのような形で書き立てられた場合、それを否定することはできない。悪魔の証明だ。そして残念ながら、世の中では噂が一度立ったらそれが明確に否定された後も信じ続ける人が存在する。将棋の三浦九段事件で、いまだに三浦九段が不正をしたと思っている人が一定数いるのが良い証拠だ。
なので本当に恐ろしい。どう対応すればいいのだろう。
…と考えながらWebをあさっていたら、上の記事に対しての反論と思われるFacebookのポストが投稿されていた。

怖い怖いと言ったけど、なんだこの低レベルの反論は。これなら反論しない方がマシじゃないか？
日米で外部の協力も得て調査した結果、この匿名のブログを発信された場所を含めた詳細が特定できました。それは、日本ではなくシリコンバレーのある場所でした。また、それを書いた人物は女性ではなく男性だということ、シリコンバレー在住の日系のVC業界の方であることもわかりました。
そんな調査が簡単に出来るはずない、というのが真っ当なエンジニアの感覚だと思う。何らかの方法でIPアドレスを割り出してそこから場所を特定することまでは出来るかもしれない（どうやってIPアドレスを割り出すのかはさっぱりわからないが）。でも「それを書いた人物は男性、VC業界の方」と特定することは不可能に近い。
要するに、この「特定した」という発言は、現状だと嘘である可能性が極めて高いと言わざるを得ない。そうすると記事全体も嘘ではないかという疑念も極めて高くなる。
最初の暴露記事を読んだ時は眉唾ものだな、自分がターゲットになったら怖いな、と思っていたのだが、この反論を読んで「う〜ん」となった。もし本当に訴訟を検討しているならば是非するべきだと思うし（事実であるにせよ無いにせよ、特定出来る形で書いている以上名誉毀損は間違いないと思う）、別に訴訟をしないにしても「どうやって特定したのか」をはっきりさせた方が良いんじゃないかな、と思う。
しかし、こんなポストを投稿しなければ自分はこのVCにたどり着けなかったのになぁ。
