seemやappear, feel, look, soundなどにthatを付ける場合、主語はitでなければならない
✗He seems that ...
Feel, look, and sound are very occasionally found with a content clause too: It looks to me that a vendetta has struck up. -----
直説法(knows):He looks as if he knows the answer. (he knows the answer)
仮定法(knew):He looks as if he knew the answer. (he gives the impression that he knows the answer, but he (probably) doesn't know or we don't know whether he knows or not)
He looked as if he knew the answer.
He seems as if he hasn't slept for days. (he hasn't slept for days)
He seems as if he hadn't slept for days. (it seems that he hasn't slept for days, but he (probably) has or we don't know whether he has or not)

“B”
Just in case you’ve gotten this far without somehow paying attention, the column in question is called “B”:
B: Black proportion of population. (1970 US Census)
This is already offensive to 2019 eyes (and hopefully 1975 eyes). But let’s try to give the authors the benefit of some doubt that I’m missing something historical, or otherwise relevant, that would warrant the inclusion of this field in the “common specification” of hedonic house pricing.

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.23.21260998v1

The green environmental protection battery is to point to in recent years has been put into use or are development, the development of kind of high performance, no pollution batteries. At present already use large nickel metal hydride battery, the lithium ion battery and is expanded use of mercury free alkaline battery manganese zinc and rechargeable batteries and is research and development of lithium or lithium ion plastic pack and fuel cells belong to this category. In addition, it is widely used and use of solar energy for photoelectric convert solar cell (also called photovoltaic power generation), can also be included in this category.
Nickel metal hydride battery (Ni-MH) and nickel cadmium battery (Ni-Cd) have the same working voltage (1.2 V), due to the adoption of rare earth alloy or TiNi alloy anode materials for the activity of hydrogen storage material, replacing the carcinogen cadmium, which not only makes this battery became a kind of green environmental protection battery, and make a battery of energy than increased nearly 40%, to 80-60 Wh/kg and 210-240 Wh/L. The battery is 90 s gradually realize industrialization PANASONIC VW-VBK360 Battery , and the first to use in the cell phone battery. At present although it on their dominance of the gradually be lithium ion battery replaced, but mobile phone applications in Europe and America, and its market share is still at about 50%.
The lithium ion battery (Li-ion) is by can make the lithium ion embedding and take off the carbon embedded as negative, reversible intercalated-li metal oxide as the positive (LiCoO2, LiNiO2 or LiMn2O4) and organic electrolyte constitute, the working voltage of 3.6 V, so a lithium-ion battery is equivalent to three cadmium nickel metal hydride battery or nickel. Thus the batteries than energy is the over 100 Wh/kg and 280 Wh/L, and considerably more than the nickel metal hydride battery than energy. In view of the above advantages, since the 1993-2000 in just a few years, its production and usage with extremely high speed growth.
Alkaline manganese zinc dry (alkaline) compared with ordinary dry cell size has higher capacity PANASONIC CGA-S005E Battery, and have high discharge current ability. In recent years has been used on mercury zinc powder, therefore make the battery become a green battery, and become the mainstream battery products, at present the alkaline xinmeng dry cell is still BP machine use most power supply. At the same time, the world is the battery charged on the sex, an American company has launched a charged battery alkali manganese, product and application of slow growth. Such batteries keep the battery discharge characteristics, but also can be recharged using a dozen times to hundreds of times (deep recharge cycles life of about 25 times).
Lithium plastic battery (LIP) is for lithium metal anode, conductive polymers of electrolyte for new battery, the energy than has reached 170 Wh/kg and 350 Wh/L. The lithium ion battery is will present plastic of organic lithium ion battery electrolyte stored in a polymer membrane, or use conductive polymer as electrolyte, make a battery in no free the electrolyte. Such batteries can use aluminum plastic composite membrane realize hot pressing encapsulation, with light weight, shape can be arbitrary change, safety better characteristics.
Fuel cells (FC) is a kind of use of fuel (such as hydrogen or contain fuel) and antioxidant (such as pure oxygen or the oxygen in air) for power generation device directly, because avoided the carnot cycle limit, this power unit is not only high efficiency (electrochemical reactions conversion efficiency can be as high as 40% or more), and no pollution discharge gas, so is the future of efficient and clean power generation method. Many companies at home and abroad are engaged in development for mobile phones, notebook computers, the PEM fuel cell, once put into application, and its economy benefit greatly.
Seal lead-acid battery is a kind of lead-acid batteries.
The following new green battery technology and related industry development is rapid.
1. Hydrogen storage material and nickel metal hydride Battery-the nimh batteries (PANASONIC CGA-S101E/1B Battery)
2. Lithium ion embedded material and liquid electrolyte of lithium ion battery
3. Polymer electrolyte of lithium battery or lithium ion battery
4. Zinc air battery and PEM fuel cell
In addition to the above, in view of the communication industry growth, China's battery industry is with extremely high speed to promote environmental protection mercury-free alkali manganese zinc original pool and rechargeable batteries and seal lead-acid battery technology development and application expansion market.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/09/london-riots-who-took-part
http://boards.gumtree.com/viewtopic.php?t=215432&p=2686792
Possibly, my following story surprise you.
However, we, Japanese have a duty toward world people(included future generation)that tell the truth.
In 1998, when Obama was still just a lawyer, he came to Japan.
Then, Obama dealt with a lawsuit that was involved in Ford employer and Honda employer.
The content of this affair is following; in 1995, Ford employer stole the confidential report of Honda
(http:/nikkei.com/article=19951001_23), and this affair was disclosed by Japanese Police and Japanese Monopoly Commission.
This affair is responsible to Ford. And Honda was the victim.
But, in 1997 Obama was asked by Ford as their company lawyer. Then, Obama didn't know the true.
In this time, Obama was regarded as one of the best lawyer and Candidate. So he couldn't miss this lawsuit.
However, he had gradually understood his position and revealed his failure that undertook this lawsuit.
If this lawsuit occurred, Obama maybe didn't become Candidate and President of U.S.A.
But, the lawsuit didn't occur. In 1998, in Tokyo, Obama met some Japanese politicians, some Honda's boards.
Instead of giving up this lawsuit, they require Obama to accept a condition:
"If U.S.A government try to oust Japanese auto company, Obama and Ford should rescue Honda".
And Honda have been devoting a lot of money to Obama.
You must rethink 2009's situation.
Who is winner?
In 2009, when GM's problem occured, when Toyota's problem occured, who did get this benefit?
Some people maybe think this story is nonsense. Rethink.

WHO is not recommending travel restrictions related to the outbreak of the influenza A(H1N1) virus. Today, global travel is commonplace and large numbers of people move around the world for business and leisure. Limiting travel and imposing travel restrictions would have very little effect on stopping the virus from spreading, but would be highly disruptive to the global community.
Influenza A(H1N1) has already been confirmed in many parts of the world. The global response now focuses on minimizing the impact of the virus through the rapid identification of cases, and providing patients with appropriate medical care, rather than on stopping its spread internationally.
Although identifying signs and symptoms of influenza in travellers can help track the path of the outbreak, it will not reduce the spread of influenza, as the virus can be transmitted from person to person before the onset of symptoms.
Scientific research based on mathematical modelling shows that restricting travel would be of limited or no benefit in stopping the spread of disease. Historical records of previous influenza pandemics, as well as experience with SARS, validate this.
Countries that adopt measures that significantly interfere with international traffic (e.g. delaying an airplane passenger for more than 24 hours, or refusing country entry or departure to a traveller) must provide WHO with the public health reasoning and evidence for their actions. WHO will follow up with all of its Member countries on such matters.
Travellers should always be treated with dignity and respect for their human rights.

Is it safe to travel?
WHO is not recommending travel restrictions related to the outbreak of the influenza A(H1N1) virus. Today, global travel is commonplace and large numbers of people move around the world for business and leisure. Limiting travel and imposing travel restrictions would have very little effect on stopping the virus from spreading, but would be highly disruptive to the global community.

Does WHO recommend screenings at country entry and exit points to detect if ill people are travelling?
No. We do not believe entry and exit screenings would work to reduce the spread of this disease. However country-level measures to respond to a public health risk are the decision of national authorities, under the International Health Regulations 2005.

How can I protect myself from influenza A(H1N1) when I am travelling?
People who are ill should delay travel plans. Returning travellers who become ill should contact their health care provider.
Travellers can protect themselves and others by following simple prevention practices that apply while travelling and in daily life.

Title: re #5
Name: B
I get where you're coming from because I'm tired of utopian solutions from dreamers in Europe.
↓
I know we're not used to having media acknowledge our citizens as people, so we get defensive, but I give Mr. Murakami the benefit of the doubt.
↓
From his speech I feel he's criticizing the entire system that has our neighbors trying to destroy us in the first place and the world legitimizing it and the common acceptance of boycotting Israel because it's the in thing to do.
he's criticizing
the entire system that has our neighbors trying to destroy us in the first place
and the world legitimizing it
and the common acceptance of boycotting Israel because it's the in thing to do.
that has our neighbous のhasが《使役》)システム全体を非難し、それを正当化している世界を非難し、流行しているから(←the in thing)という理由でイスラエルをボイコットすることが一般に受け入れられていることを非難しているように、ぼくには思えた。
he's criticizing
the entire system that has our neighbors trying to destroy us in the first place
and (the entire system that has) the world legitimizing it
and the common acceptance of boycotting Israel because it's the in thing to do.
