And now we are fighting for survival, and this is our main motivation, but we are also fighting to be equal members of Europe. And I think today we are all showing that we are. 朝5時に目が覚め、することもないのでスマホをいじっていると、以前言及したブルマー情報局というサイトで、フランス映画「Peppermint Soda」でブルマーが見られると書いてあった。しばらくはブルマーについて調べるのはよそうと思っていたのだが、目覚めた直後には自制心があまり働いていないせいだろうか。ついつい時間を費やしてしまった。たばこを吸ったことはないのだが、禁煙をしていてつらいのは目ざめの一服を我慢することじゃないか、とあてずっぽうで考えた。
原題は「Diabolo menthe」で、1977年に公開された青春映画だ。監督はDiane Kurysで、女優でもある。ウィキペディアによれば半自伝的な作品が多い。以下、英語版のウィキペディアから抜粋する。
舞台は1963年、13歳のアンヌと15歳のフレデリックは両親が離婚したユダヤ系の姉妹である。二人は母とパリに住み、夏休みは海辺で父と過ごすが気まずく感じている。二人の通う学校は規律が厳しい。
妹のアンヌは思春期の入り口にいるがあまり社交的ではなく、成績もよくない。周囲で何が起きているかを母や姉から盗み聞きして知ろうとする。成績は良くなく標準以下で、不公平な教師に対処しないといけない。あるときは姉の一年前に書いた小論文を剽窃したのが見つかっている。また、初めての生理や男の子と話すことや、問題を起こした後で母と問題に対処しなければならない。
対照的に姉のフレデリックはより外向的で政治的意識も高い。特にアルジェリア問題と反核運動に関心を持っている。自分よりずっと年上の人に片思いをして、初めて本格的な恋の痛みを感じ始めている。また、初めて逃げだした友人や、価値観の違いによる友情の喪失も経験する。

他にももう少し鮮明な画像があるページもあったが、「映画を無料でダウンロード！」と書いてある危険そうなサイトだったり、映画での性的なシーンをつなぎ合わせた違法アップロードだったりするので、リンクは張らない。どうしても気になる方は英語やフランス語のタイトルで検索してほしい。
で、肝心のブルマーを見てみると、ブルマーというよりは極端な短パンに見える。前列右から2番目の子を除いて、他の国のようなショーツ型ブルマーではないようだ。さらに、生徒によって短パンやシャツの色が違っている。フランスではブルマーが制服として採用されたのではないらしい。
しかし、逆にそこが興味深い。この仮定が正しければ、制服ほどの強制はなかったにもかかわらず、1960年代のフランスではブルマーに近い短パンを生徒が自主的に着ていた可能性があるからだ。もちろん何の証拠もないし、強制ではないにせよブルマをはく雰囲気があっただけでも強要されたように感じた人もいるだろう。ただ、当時のファッションの傾向としてブルマ的短パンが許容される風土があったのやもしれない。奇しくも60年代はミニスカートが初めて流行した時代である。当時の青ブルマーはおしゃれの先端だったのだろうか。
この映画、ちょっとだけ年端もいかない少女の下着姿や乳房が映っている（該当シーンがアップらされていたのも、リンクを貼らなかった理由の一つだ）。昔の芸術系の映画にはたまにあるが、やっぱりショックだ。ショックなのはそのためらいのなさと、どうしても一瞬は美しいと感じてしまう自分の感覚だ。
ここでは表現の自由と検閲の是非については議論しない。専門外なので解像度の低い議論はしたくない。
ただ断っておくと、今は少女の裸体を（少なくとも実在する児童の写真・映像なら）禁じるのは当然だと思う。悪の定義が「なにも知らぬ無知なる者を……自分の利益だけのために利用する」ことならば、まさにその定義に該当するからだ。性についてまだ知らない相手を同意なく性的に扱うのは間違っている。
一方で、グーグルで「少女 ヌード」と画像検索すると一件も引っかからない。正しい処置だと思う。けど、大企業によるあからさまな検閲は正しくてもなんだか怖い。
映画の配信とかも怖いと感じるのがそれで、どのような理由であれ、いつ同意なく内容を差し替えられてしまうか、それが怖い。
ところで、表現の自由に調べてみると興味深い事実に行きあたることがある。
たとえば英語版wikipediaの「Pornography_in_Europe」を読んでいると、「Like Denmark and the Netherlands, Sweden does not regulate pornography and the country has no age laws for the possession or viewing of pornography.」つまり、スウェーデンでは18歳未満であってもエロ本を見ることは違法ではないのだ。「Some shops follow a voluntary limit and do not sell to minors.」ともあり、実際には売らない店もあるらしいのだが、売るなと法で定めているわけではない。
またフィンランドでは「It is legal to sell pornography in any store, but magazines may not be sold to buyers less than 15 years of age, and hardcore is restricted to buyers aged at least 18.」つまりソフトコアなら15禁、ハードコアなら18禁とわかれているらしい。
ただし、どちらの国でも18歳以下のモデルは禁じられている。

彼女は、自分の症状が、血圧や体液のバランスを調整するレニン-アンジオテンシン-アルドステロン系と呼ばれるホルモン系と重なっていることに気づき、ACE2が重要な役割を担っていることを突き止めたのである。
最近、このシステムを標的とする自己抗体が、彼女の症状を引き起こしているのではないか、と考えている医師と知り合いになった。
