顔がいい。めちゃくちゃいい。
私がタイのBLドラマ(Yシリーズと呼ばれる)、｢2gether｣の映画サイトを初めて見た時の感想だ。
以前に｢コロナの影響でタイでの公開が延期になった結果、日本での公開が世界最速になったタイ映画｣としてその存在を知っていたが、内容のことは何も知らなかった。
しかしある時友人との話題に上がり、なんとなくサイトを開いたところ主人公の相手役のBrightの顔が目に飛び込んできた。
冒頭はその時の感想だ。
あまりの衝撃に帰宅後すぐに見始めて、休みなのも手伝って、気づけば10話ぶっ続けで見ていた。
その頃には主人公を演じるWinの笑顔がかわいいなとか主人公の親友役のKhaotungが素敵だなとか、ストーリーや音楽が爽やかでいい甘さの恋愛ドラマだなとか、Brightの顔がいい以外にも好きな部分が出来ていた。
続編や映画が見たい、このドラマに出ている俳優さんたちのことがもっと知りたい、タイ語を学んで字幕なしでこのドラマを見たいという思いが強くなっていた。
この頃はまだ｢カップリングで売り出す｣とか｢カップリングがスターシステムのようだ｣とか、タイのYシリーズだからこその部分に関してはよく分かっていなかった。
というのも、これまでにBLに触れたことがない訳では無いがハマっていたことはなかった。
また2次元にハマるばかりで3次元にハマったことはなく、ましてや｢ドラマ｣や｢俳優｣というものに入れ込むことはなかったのだ。
だから、｢なんかそんな感じっぽいなぁふーん。｣くらいの気持ちだった。
この時は｢2getherをよく知るにはタイの文化を知る必要があるけど、タイには行けないし身近にタイに詳しい人はいないからタイのドラマを見るのが一番なのかなあ｣くらいのことしか考えていなかった。
根が2次元オタクなので、｢2gether｣の｢キャラクター｣や｢世界観｣に興味を持っていたに過ぎないのではないかと今は思う。
転機はテレビ朝日の企画、｢GMMTV Exthibition｣という展覧会だった。
誰に薦められるでもなく勝手にハマったので自力で情報収集していたのだが、｢今日本で2getherの衣装や小道具を展示しているらしい｣と知った。それがその展覧会だ。
ものすごく見たい。けどこれは東京で終わってしまったのか…？と思いきや、もう少し経てば私の住む地域の近くにもどうも来るらしい。絶対に行きたい。
そのホームページを読むと他の作品の展示があることが分かった。
｢SOTUS｣｢Theory of Love｣｢Dark Blue Kiss｣という作品の展示で、それぞれ｢Krist＆Singto｣｢Off＆Gun｣｢Tay＆New｣というYシリーズの中でも有名で人気なカップリングのものだということだった。
せっかく行くならその展覧会を全部楽しみたい。
そう思った私はそれらの作品を全て見てから展覧会に行こうと思った。時間ならまだある。履修完了には充分な時間だ。
手始めに、作品名を調べると｢Yシリーズの始祖｣だとか｢伝説(レジェンド)｣だとか、神話か何かと勘違いしそうな紹介が出てくる｢SOTUS｣を見ることにした。
気がついたら全話一気見していた。
SOTUSは2016年の作品ということもあって映像が少し古い。
またBrightのような凄絶に顔がいい俳優がいるだとか、ファッションが良いとか、話がとっても爽やかだとかそういった類いの作品ではない。
しかし今までに見たドラマやアニメ、2.5次元舞台の中で最も作り込まれていると感じた。
全ての俳優の目線やセリフ(字幕だが)、行動や仕草、雰囲気や声色などから｢なぜそう思い、その行動を取ったのか｣が伝わってきていた。
私はよく恋愛もので｢なんでその人のことが好きになったのか分からない｣と思っていたのだが、SOTUSにそれはなかった。
主人公のカップルはもちろん、他のキャラクターの恋愛感情に至ってまで｢なぜその人に恋したのか｣｢なぜその人でなければならなかったのか｣が理解出来た。
見ていて私自身が、後輩のKongpobの目線で先輩のArthitを好きになっていたし逆もまた然りだった。
その後もSOTUSの続編の｢SOTUS S｣やオムニバスドラマの｢Our Skyy｣内の作品を見たのだが、その度にArthitとKongpobからは恋愛に関するさまざまな感情を教えられた。人を愛するということを、SOTUSシリーズは私に教えてくれていた。
それはSOTUSシリーズの演者たちに｢このカンパニーで演じてくれてありがとう｣という感情を抱くには充分すぎる感想だった。
そうして私は｢SOTUS｣のみならず、Arthitを演じた｢Krist｣とKongpobを演じた｢Singto｣への愛着を深めていった。
初めに演者その人として気になったのは、SOTUSの最終話のインタビューだった。
｢ワークショップを長らくしたこともあり、私たちはお互いの役を取り替えて演じることが出来る｣(意訳)
その発言を聞いて、実際に取り替えて演じているところを見て、本当にこの人たちはこの｢SOTUS｣という作品に正面から向き合ってキャラクターを理解して演じていたのだなと感心した。また私が心から好きになったその作品が、演者からも愛されていて、だからこそ私も好きになったのだろうという確信がうれしかった。
そしてそのように向き合ってくれていたKristその人とSingtoその人を知りたくなった。
作品制作前から知人であったなどの事実や｢Friendship with Krist and Singto｣というバラエティー番組を通して分かった性格や行動、そして昔のイベントや番組、インタビュー、残る動画やエピソードを知っていくうちに、どんどん彼らが好きになっていた。
｢カップリング営業｣とは｢番宣などは関係なく、Yシリーズのカップリングの俳優たち2人を1組として他の番組や企業CMに起用したり、普段のSNSで親しく絡んだりすること｣を指す。企業によっては、本当に番組と関係なくその2人でのイベントを行うことも少なくない。
SOTUSはKristとSingtoにとって初めての大きな主演作であったためSOTUS以前の単独の彼らの映像やエピソードは見当たらず、私が見るものには必ずと言っていいほど2人で登場していた。
また2人もサービス精神なのかファンの喜ぶ発言や行動が多く、気づけばKristとSingtoをそれぞれ単独で推しつつも｢カップリング｣としても推していた。
盛んには作られていないころには挑戦的なYシリーズの作品を作り上げる中で、新人俳優の2人がお互いに信頼や愛情など積み重ねて簡単には言いきれない、言い表せない関係性をつくった。
その事実が何よりも尊くて、何よりも好きになってしまっていたのだった。
私がこの長い駄文を書こうと思ったのは、この後に書くどうしても吐き出したかった感情のためだ。
ここまでは前置きでしかない。
2021年12月1日。タイのマネジメント事務所とテレビ局のコングロマリットのような会社であるGMMTVが、2022年のドラマや映画の新作発表会を行った。
キャスティングも発表されるのだが、SingtoはGMMを退社していたため出演はなく、所属しているKristだけ出演作があるようだった。
そしてそこで、KristとMikeという俳優とのYシリーズの発表があった。MikeとはKristの学生時代からの親友で、2getherにも出演している俳優だ。
Kristは｢Singto以外とはYはやらない｣と以前言っていたし、1週間くらい前のイベントでは｢自分のShip(=カップリング)はSingtoとのもの｣と言っていた。
実際Kristは2016年から今までに至るまでYシリーズには出演していない。
だから、つらかった。
分かってはいる。
実際にKristとSingtoは付き合っているわけではないだろうし、Singtoは自らのキャリアのためとしてKrist以外とのYシリーズ作品にたくさん出演しているし、そもそもドラマ作品への出演は俳優としてのキャリアアップなのだから喜ぶべきだ。
Singtoが他でYシリーズを演じていてもカップリング営業を長くすることはなかったし、｢Singto以外とはYはしない｣と言っていたKristという、いわば｢帰る場所｣があるからこそ安心してSingtoのYシリーズを見られていた。
それでも俳優のキャリアとして喜べない自分をエゴだと感じて嫌になってしまうし、たかだかハマって数ヶ月程度の人間が何言ってるんだとかも思う。
しかしつらいもんはつらいのだ。
私を感動させてくれたSOTUSは、KristSingtoが作ってくれたもので、その2人のカップリングが存在しなくなるかもしれない事実が、希薄になるかもしれない事実がつらい。
YouTubeの予告映像の字幕を読みながら、｢あぁ本当にYシリーズなんだ｣とだんだん理解だけは追いついて、涙が溢れていた。
そうして思ってしまった。
私は多分この作品を受け入れられない。
SOTUSが私にとっての一番である限り、その象徴を奪おうとするようなこの作品を私は受け入れられない。
きっと嫌ってしまう。
新作品を楽しみにしている人や、それぞれの俳優のことが好きな人、前からその2人のカプを推している人もいるから言えないと思ってしまった。
でもどうしても吐き出してすっきりしたかった。
本当につらくて、引き裂かれそうになる。

宇宙では、あらゆる方向から宇宙背景放射と呼ばれるマイクロ波が飛んで来ています。これはビッグバンのあと40万年後ぐらいまでに放出されたごく初期の宇宙の光の名残とされ、そのスペクトル指数は0.968と観測されています。研究者が発見した0.96478は、さらにビッグバンに近い、より古い時期のスペクトル指数値を理論的に導き出したもの。0.968と0.96478ではほとんど誤差じゃないかとも思えるものの、この差が観測によって正しいと証明されれば、太古の光は現在よりも速かったといえるわけです。
今回の数値を発見したジョアオ・マゲイジョ教授は、光速変動理論の先駆者として知られる人物。現在の宇宙では片側の端から反対側の端まで、たとえ光の速度でも宇宙ができてからの年月以内にたどりつくことができない地平線問題という矛盾があります。宇宙に光の届かない場所があるならば、宇宙の場所によって温度にムラができなければなりません。ところが、実際は宇宙空間のどの場所でも温度は均一です。この問題を解決するのが、ビッグバンが起こったような宇宙の初期ほど光は高速だったと考える光速変動理論です。

米国西海岸を支配しているのはリベラリズムなんてチャチなもんじゃない。もっと過激な左派思想だよ。
ソーシャル・ジャスティス・ウォリアー（Social Justice Warrior）、ウォーキズム（Wokeism）、文化的マルクス主義（Cultural Marxism）、批判的人種理論（Critical Race Theory）等、色んな名前で呼ばれてるよ。

平等性（Equality）、つまり皆を平等に扱うと、能力や境遇の有無で格差が生まれ、逆に公平性（Equity）の下では、この格差をベースに権利や境遇が配布され、皆が同じラインの上に立てる、という考えだ。
今ではこの画像が学校の教材として使われるくらい広く浸透してる考えとなっている。
一見とても理にかなってるように見えるけど、この思想には大きな問題がある。「格差」の基準は何なのか。誰がどうやって決めるのか。
画像だと身長という視覚的に分かりやすい格差として表現されてるけど、現実だとそうはいかない。各個人で抱えている境遇は多種多様で、誰がどれだけの社会的恩恵を受ければいいのかを決めるのはとても難しい。
はずだった。
でも連中はその基準を単純化するために、露骨な差別主義に走った。
まず大前提として「社会はシス白人男性が作り上げたものであり、彼らが有利になるようになっている」という考えがある。
これをアーキタイプとし、「女性」「LGBT」「マイノリティ」等の属性が付け加えられる事で、その人の社会的格差が決定される。そして社会的格差が大きい人ほど社会における発言権も強いとされる。
シス白人男性よりもLGBTの白人男性の方が発言権が強いし、LGBTの白人男性よりもLGBTの黒人男性、LGBTの黒人男性よりもLGBTの黒人女性、といった具合だ。
この中でもとりわけ「人種」に対する考えが過激で、まず最初に「白人は生まれながらにしてレイシストであり、これを撤廃する事はできない」とされている。その扱いはキリスト教における「原罪」に近いと言える。
そして黒人等のマイノリティはこのレイシストな白人どものための社会に生きているため、普通に暮らしていると絶対に成功する事はできない。だから彼らが人並みの暮らしができるよう全力で支援する事がレイシストである白人の「義務」とされる。
また、白人を基準とした文化は社会の隅々まで浸透しており、これらを「ホワイトネス」と定め、社会悪としている。白人であるという事は肌の色だけではなく、その人の考え方や心のあり方にまで現れると言うのである。

「個人主義」「核家族」「科学的方法」「偏った歴史観」「努力主義」「キリスト教基準の宗教観」「財産に重みを置く」「未来・将来を重要視する」「時間やスケジュールを大事にする」
ここで違和感を覚えないだろうか。
時間にマメで、努力をする……そういった事すら「白人の文化」だとぬかしているのである。
じゃあ何か？時間にルーズで怠惰でいる事を推奨するのか？と言いたくなるが、ほぼ推奨してると言っても過言ではない。
だからこそ彼らは「努力してアメリカンドリームを掴み取る」という価値観を真っ向から否定する。ベーシックインカムみたいな破綻必至な制度を推し進めようとする。
今アメリカではバイデン政権による太っ腹すぎる失業保険のため労働者不足が深刻な社会問題になっている。下手にマクドナルドなんかで働くより失業保険をもらっていた方がずっと収入が多いのだ。そんな状態で職に付こうだなんて大抵の人は思わないだろう。
もちろんこの失業保険の資金源も無限ではなく、いずれ膨大なインフレや恐慌等といった形で跳ね返ってくる。しかし連中は国家を打ち出の小槌か何かと勘違いしているのか、国からあれやこれやと要求しまくる。
これらを推奨してるのは何も貧困層だけじゃない。むしろ西海岸の富裕層なんかは大抵この思想にどっぷりだ。
貧困層が成功を求めて努力するのをやめ、国からの施物に頼りっきりになって、一番得をするのは誰か。すでに成功している富裕層だ。
誰もが成功できるという事は、自分の地位や権力が常に脅かされているという事でもある。自分が競争で勝ち取った地位を堅固にするために、競争主義そのものを打ち壊すという訳だ。
そのために連中は人種差別的思想にまで手を出しているのだからたちが悪いどころの話ではない。
米国西海岸の左翼文化において「自己研鑽」や「マッチョイズム」は白人至上主義と関連付けられ、むしろ社会悪として認識されている。
そしてホームレスは「自己研鑽を辞めた者」ではなく「どうしようもない環境のせいでそうなってしまった者」扱いだ。
現にサンフランシスコではホームレスによる路上脱糞を完全に放置しており、路上の人糞を回収・処理する「うんこパトロール」というものに人件費を回している。冗談なんかではない。
最近フロリダ州では学校で批判的人種理論（Critical Race Theory）を教える事を知事が禁止したが、それに対する批判の中に「そんな理論は存在しない」としらを切る連中がいた。
連中は狡猾で、自分たちの思想が明るみに出されたらそれは差別的で悪である事がバレてしまうのを理解しているため、徹底的に隠そうとする。
名前を与えず、さもそれがずっと前から存在していたかのように、さり気なく提示する事で社会に浸透させようとする。だからこそ悪質極まりない。
そして、"意識の高い"人たちは口を糊するために働いている人がいるってことに気づかない。
いや、見ようともしてない。
毎月生活に困らないだけの収入を得られ、それなりの家に住み、子供たちも思いのままの習い事を含めた教育をさせられるとき、果たしてどれだけの人が働くのか？

The Big Bang Theoryオタの俺から1つ言わせてもらうと、日本のアニメを見ている/見ていたことをほのめかす描写は確かにほとんどない。(S10までで俺が気づいた)唯一の例外が以下である。
S3Ep03「The Gothowitz Deviation」9分あたりで、「Oshikuru: Demon Samurai」という架空のAnimeを見ている。前後のセリフをみても、Cartoonを否定し、Animeと言ってるあたり日本のアニメと考えて良いのではなかろうか。一言だけ、「彼女の進化を止めるために」というアニメの台詞(日本語)が聞こえる。TVの画面は見えない。

Urban Dictionaryによると、このタイトルは「チャーリー・シーンのハーパー★ボーイズ」(原題: Two and a Half Men)というシットコム(未視聴)でも登場しているとのこと。両方ともKing of Sitcomsとも呼ばれるChuck Lorreというライターによるものだそうだ。
なお、日本のアニメ関連の話題としては、S5Ep22、S7Ep23等で触れられる、過去のコミコンでハワードとラージが3Pした相手が「200-pound Sailor Moon girl」であること(字幕や吹替ではキャットウーマンになっている)がある。
1点忘れていた。主人公たちではないが、頻出サブキャラクターであるところのスチュアートがJapanese porn cartoonsを見ているという台詞がS9Ep12であった。
何やら「アメリカの人種ヒエラルキーではアジア系は黒人より下で、黒人と白人の両方から差別されてる」などという与太が出回っているようで。
これは嘘っぱちですのでご注意ください（個々人の経験は別として、全体から言えば）。
むしろ、アジア系アメリカ人が他の人種的マイノリティ、特に黒人に対しての差別者であるとの認識すら、決して珍しいものではないのです。

モデル・マイノリティ(ここで言う"モデル"とは"見本"のようなニュアンスです)という言葉もあります。ポジティブなステレオタイプを持つマイノリティのことで、アメリカではアジア系を指すことがほとんどです。
勤勉で、まじめで、よく働き、自立していて、etc., etc...ポジティブなステレオタイプゆえに支援の手が伸びにくかったり、ステレオタイプの押し付けが起きやすかったり(褒めてるんだからいいじゃん！的な)、ネガティブなステレオタイピングとはまた別の問題があります。
これは他のマイノリティをディスる、さらには人種間の対立を煽るのに使われる――アジア系の連中はあんなに成功しているのに、黒人はどうして貧乏なままなの？努力が足りないんじゃない？――場合があります。
一方で、このステレオタイプは就職等でプラスに働くこともあり、一筋縄ではいきません。
アジア系の中には上記の対立煽りを真に受けたり、黒人への蔑視を白人と共有する人も存在します。
アジア系アメリカ人の人種差別に関する意識は白人と近く、2008年の世論調査(***)では黒人の65%、ラテン系の55%が｢人種差別は未だ、我々の社会における重要な問題である｣と答えたのに対し、アジア系と白人でそう答えたのは33%でした。
また、｢人種差別は存在するが、もはや重要な問題ではない｣という答えは黒人で23.9%、ラテン系37.8%、アジア系50%、白人60%でした。
しかし、やはりマイノリティー、被差別者としての側面もあり、上記のステレオタイプの押し付け、落伍者への冷たい目、キャリアにおける差別("竹の天井"と呼ばれます)が存在します。
さらに、アジア系は集団内の格差が激しく、日中韓印系とそれ以外で状況は違うにもかかわらず、アジア系全体の恵まれたイメージから支援が届きづらいことがあります。
黒人たちと同様、シンプルで醜悪な人種差別にさらされることだって当然あります。
また、コロナパンデミックにおけるアジア系の人たちへの差別で、黒人が声を上げなかったとするのも間違いです。
100 Black Menという市民団体はAsian American Business Development CenterおよびHispanic Federationと共同声明でアジア系差別を批判してますし、黒人コミュニティや個々の黒人もtwitterなんかで差別を批判してます。
ただし、アジア系の人々が今まで黒人を差別していた/黒人差別に声をあげなかったという理由から、彼らのために声をあげたくないという黒人もいます。
例えば、黒人コメディアンのGodfrey氏はinstagramに投稿した動画で｢エボラのパンデミックの時、君らはどこにいた？我々が警察に殴られているときには？｣と述べ、｢君たちのスーパーヒーローにはなれないよ。他にやること(無数の差別への対処)がいっぱいあるんでね｣と答えています。
※トランプの"中国ウィルス"呼びを肯定していたり、中国人の食生活や、パンデミックに対する中国の責任、中国から入ってくる安い商品等への批判もしているため、単なる反中国論かもしれませんが。
アジア系アメリカ人とBlack lives matter (以下BLM)の関係もまた歴史的に複雑な背景を持ちます。
BLMが使われだすずっと前ですが、ロス暴動の前日譚として黒人と韓国系アメリカ人の間の緊張状態および、韓国系アメリカ人による黒人少女Latasha Harlinsの射殺事件がありました。
2014年の黒人射殺事件は中国系アメリカ人警官によってなされました。新人警官のPeter Liangが同僚とパトロール中、ガールフレンドとデート中のAkai Gurleyと暗がりで鉢合わせ、つい射殺(直撃ではなく跳弾)してしまったのです。
Liangは過失致死で有罪判決を受け、それに執行猶予5年がつきました。
この事件は中国系アメリカ人と黒人の両方から批判を浴びました。
中国系アメリカ人側は｢白人なら起訴されないのに中国系ならされるのか｣と起訴の取り下げを要求し、黒人側はBLMを掲げて射殺に抗議しました。
ジョージ・フロイドの死に関しても、関わった4人の警官のうち一人はアジア系アメリカ人のTou Thaoです。
アジア系アメリカ人団体Asian American CommissionはBLMへの連携を表明した上で、その声明文中にて｢アジア系コミュニティにおけるアンチ黒人の深い根｣の存在をあげ、コミュニティの変革を求めました。
※｢(アジア系は)差別されてきたが、同時にモデルマイノリティ神話等から利益を得てもいる｣等の意見も声明文には含まれていることもあり、一部のアジア系アメリカ人はこの声明に反発しています。

12 Dr. Hiroshi Nishiura is one of the few professionals of mathematical models of infectious diseases in Japan, and it is well known that his ability is outstanding. However, many people don't understand mathematical models themselves (I must confess that I can't say that I understand all of the findings because I'm not a professional of mathematical models either), so his findings and comments are easily deified. Because the contents of the mathematical model are a complete black box to many people, it makes it seem like the oracle is coming out like a shrine's oracle. Much of Japan's infection control policy relies on the Nishiura theory. So there is nothing wrong with that, but one of the problems in Japan is that there is no plan B in case plan A goes bust. Dr. Nishiura is an excellent scholar. It is not God. Hence the need to have that Plan B with the possibility of making a mistake. I am greatly concerned that bureaucrats and politicians who are prone to infallibilism will mistake science for an oracle. It is only when falsifiability is assured that science can continue to be scientific.

実は６話まで弦理論らしきものが出てきません。ずっと場の量子論を計算しているのです。
しかもこの時代は1973年です。この時代にいた弦理論屋とは何者なのでしょうか？
というのも、弦理論はもともとハドロンを記述する模型として研究されていたものだからです。現在のように弦理論が究極理論候補と考えられるようになったのは1984年の第一次ストリング革命以降の話です。時代背景を考えるとシェルドンは南部後藤の弦でハドロンを研究していると考えるとしっくりきます。彼がQCDを研究する理由も、ボスがハドロン８重項をホワイトボードに書いているのもこれで理解できます。彼の研究対象はハドロンなのです。

あの問題たちは目に見えないところでくすぶり続けていたんだ。

むしろ、僕らは火消しを続けていくんだ。
悩み、苦しみ、世界も日本も悪くなっているように感じるかも知れない。
そんな時は音楽でも聞こう。
