前にLカップブラとUカップブラの違いについて書いた増田です。

けっこう面白い問題提起だなと思ったので、お答えしようと思います。

ちなみに増田はD65のナイスバディです。

これもネット調べで恐縮なのだが、下着店での取り扱いはB〜Dカップがボリュームゾーンらしく、Aカップはそんなに置いていないらしい。AAカップ以下については皆無な店もあるだろう。

これはその通りです。

もし採寸の結果がAA以下だった場合、「お客様はAAなのですが、そのサイズはうちには置いてないんですよね」なんて言えるだろうか？

仮にAだったとしても、「お客様はAですね」なんて伝えられるだろうか？「私はまな板じゃないからAじゃない！」と怒りだす女性もいるだろう。

どうしてこうなったのか。それは、それなりにいるはずのAAA〜Aカップ商品を作らないメーカーサイドに問題があると考える。なぜ作らないのかは単に「売れないから」である。大半の女性は自分がAカップ以下であることを絶対に認めないため、どれだけ貧乳でもBカップを着用する。

Aカップだと伝えられた客が怒らないように、下着店員が自主的にカップ数を水増ししてor下着屋が従業員に水増しさせて Bカップ以上にしているのではないかとの疑問ですね。

アパレル店員が「私もそれ持ってるんですよ（持ってない）」とか「残り一点ですよ（まだある）」とか「お似合いですよ（似合ってない）」とかの嘘をつくことはよく知られていますので、そのように下着店員も嘘をついてるんじゃないかと思われるのはわかります。

ただ、そのような水増し行為はありえません。

どんなに胸の小さい客にもBカップ以上だと嘘をつくのであればAカップのブラは一つもないはずです。（中古に流れているので購入実態もある）

ならAAやAAAカップを水増ししてAカップだと嘘をつくことがあるのか、というとその可能性も低いです。

採寸は着衣のまま、あるいはブラの上からすることが多いらしい。

本当にフィットしていてパッドも入ってないブラを着けているなら良いが、多くの場合そんなことはないはずである。ほとんどのブラはパッドがデフォルトで入っているし、そもそも実際のサイズがわからないから採寸しているんじゃないのか。

仮に男の私がCカップのスカスカのブラを着けて採寸したらどうなるか。恐らくA〜Cカップ程度になってしまうだろう。痩せ型の男である私のバストサイズはAAA〜AAカップ程度のはずなのだが、大幅にサイズアップしてしまっている。

つまり、こんな測り方をしてもなんの意味もないのだ。しかし、「専門のスタッフに測ってもらった」ということから結果を盲信してしまい、自分の本来のサイズを少し大きめに誤認してしまうというわけだ。

これではいかんという気がするが、とはいえ、着衣で測るのにも理由があるはずである。そこを考察していく。

まず、女同士とはいえ裸を見せるのは恥ずかしいという方も多いだろう。これは仕方ない理由と言える。

しかしもっと大きな理由がある。ここで再度透明化されたAAカップ以下の話が出てくる。

前述の通り、Aカップは普通に膨らみがあるので、痩せ型の女性ならわりと普通に存在する。それどころかAAカップもわりといる。AAAカップまでいくと流石に少数派だろうが、恐らく全体の数パーセントぐらいはいる。

これは私の推測だが、AAA〜Aカップは全体の25〜35％程度は存在すると考えている。少なくともこの3サイズで20％前後はいるだろう。

つまり、裸でサイズを測ってしまうとそれなりの割合でAカップ以下を告げなければならないケースが出てくる。

採寸されている人が巻き尺の目盛りを自分の目で見ていますよね？　

ここでごまかす余地はほとんどないことがお分かりになったと思います。

次に、大きくて固いブラの上から採寸すれば確かに結果もおかしくなるかもしれません。

しかしこれで騙せるのは「ブラを買いに行くためのブラがある客」だけです。

ブラをまだ持ってなくてノーブラで来た客は正直にAAやAAAと測定されます。

自分のサイズを勘違いして大きすぎるブラをつけている客であっても、ワイヤーが入っていない薄いブラ（ジュニアブラ、スポブラ、ブラレットなど）であれば膨らまし効果はあまりないのでほぼ正確なサイズが出ます。

家で裸になってセルフ採寸している客もそこまで珍しいわけではありません。

こうして自分のカップサイズがAAやAAAだと知った客にお世辞でAなどと言っても嘘だとバレてしまい、喜ばせるどころか「あの下着屋は嘘つき」と悪評を呼ぶことにしかならないでしょう。

そうなればネットでウワサになってそうなものですが一度も聞いたことがないので嘘カップが常態化しているということはないものと思われます。

ちなみにワコールはAAやAAAも一応売ってるので従業員に嘘をつかせる動機はなさそうです。

余談ですが、

ただ、ブラのサイズはJISで定められているが、測り方のレギュレーションは定められていない。

ここは改善の余地があるように思う。

直立で測る、お辞儀で測る、直立で持ち上げて測るなど、正しい測り方には諸説ある。上裸でもプロに測ってもらうと基本はサイズアップするそうだ。

どれでもいいとは思うが、参考値である以上、どれかに定めるべきではないだろうか。

再現性を考えれば、直立かお辞儀あたりが良いと思うが、どうだろうか。

安心してください、増田がわざわざ提唱するまでもなく事実上ほぼ統一されています。

それぞれの下着ブランドは販売員に測り方のレギュレーションを教育しているのでどの店舗でも同じ測定サービスが受けられますし、主要ブランドはどれでも概ね同じ測り方です。

複数社横断で客のカップサイズの統計を取るんだったらもっと厳格な日本統一レギュレーションが必要になるでしょうが。

ナイキとアディダスとアシックスの足の採寸レギュレーションが統一されているとも聞いたことありません。

直立とお辞儀の姿勢の違いは胸の垂れ度合いによります。垂れている人の場合はお辞儀の姿勢にならないとうまく測れませんが、そうでなければ直立したほうが楽なのでそうされています。

これはもちろん基準の不統一です。しかし、だからどうしたというのでしょう。客にとって重要なことは自分に合う下着を選ぶことであって、よその客と同じ基準で測定されることではありません。

繰り返して言いますが公的統計を取る作業ではないんですよ。

そもそもあなたはLサイズの服を買うかSサイズの服を買うか選ぶときに厳密に計測してますか？　

もし厳密に計測したらもっとフィットする服が選べるだろうと思いますか？

確かにS/M/Lの普通の服とブラジャーでは事情が違います。

S/M/Lを全部試着してみるのが簡単なのに比べてA65からF90までを試着するのは手間がかかるから採寸である程度のアタリをつけるわけです。

しかし結局のところは試着で決めるので厳密な計測はそこまで必要とされていません。

D70と計測された人にB70のブラが合うような例もあるので尚更です。

余談ですが、ブラジャーとメンズスーツは既成服としては数少ない「二つの寸法パラメータを割り当てるのが一般的な服」です。

実際のCカップはトップとアンダーの差が15cmなわけなのだが、これがそんなに小さいことはない。実際にアンダー67、トップ83の女性に測らせてもらったが、私が貧乳好きだからか普通にでかい。美乳といった感じ。もちろん巨乳好きからしたら全然物足りないのだろうが、がっかりするほどのサイズ感では決してないはずである。

ネットで、「男のカンチガイサイズ」と「実際のサイズ」を比べたイラストを見たことがあるだろうか？この画像は検索すればすぐ出てくる。

これについては、私は両方とも正しくないように思える。理由はもちろん、AAカップ以下が透明化されているからだ。

女性はAカップにカテゴライズされることを極端に嫌がるので、どうしてもAカップを無乳ということにしたいのである。この画像にAAカップとAAAカップを足そうとしたらどうなってしまうのだろうか。確実にえぐれてくる。

山の高さは同じで裾野の部分が変わっているような。山の高さが変わるのはA以降のように思われます。

おまけ・男性の胸は横から見るとこのようになっているようです。

加えてその「男のカンチガイサイズ」と「実際のサイズ」を比べたイラストもあまり正しくない……いや、乳房部分は大して的外れではありません。

問題はその下の部分。実際の人体ではこの線は往々にしてデコボコです。

先ほどのAAAからAまで豊胸した経過の写真でも、アンダーのすぐ下の肋骨が第二乳房のようにムクッと盛り上がってそこからお腹にかけてへこんでいっていますよね。

カップ数には何の関係もありませんが見た目の印象は異なります。

いわゆる「隠れ巨乳（巨乳なのに、服を着ているとそうは見えない）」はここがポイントです。

カップ数はトップとアンダーの周長で決まるけれども、人体の周長は見た目の印象とは関係ないのです。

服を着ているときはアンダーがよく見えないので、乳房の大きさは「顔ーバストトップーウエストの成す角度」というアンダーとは無関係な尺度で推定されます。ここで重要なのは胸の直径です。

裸になればアンダーは見えますが、それでも周長をぐるりと確認してみるようなことはあまりないでしょう。裸になっているときに目につくのは胸の体積です。

（服は直径でも体積でもなく周に沿うものなのでブラのカップ数が周長で決まるのは理にかなっています）

カップ数は2.5cm刻みです。

体積は周長のだいたい3乗に比例します。ですからたった2.5cmの周長の違いであっても体積はかなり変化しますし、A→Bの体積増加幅よりもF→Gの体積増加幅のほうがずっと大きくなります。

しかし直径はA→BでもF→Gでもおよそ1cmしか変わりません。

なので、服を着ているときの乳房の見かけの大きさにはカップ数以外の要素の寄与が大きいのです。

芸能人でわかりやすいのは深田恭子です。

この人は純粋なカップ数はそこそこですが胸付近全体の形状によって着衣だとかなり大きく見えます。

体のメリハリがほとんど前後方面に割り振られているようで、正面から見たときより横からのほうがくびれがわかりやすい体型です。

増田の個人事情

前の増田を書いたときに「増田はフィッターなのか」と疑問に思ってる方がいましたが、違います。

フィッターでも下着専門家でもなんでもないです。自由のブラしか持ってません。ブラジャーや他人の胸をまじまじ見たこともほとんどありません。

前の増田もこの増田もすべて机上論です。

前にLカップブラとUカップブラの違いについて書いたときに「ブラトップをつけるからもうブラは買ってない」という方が多いのがわかりました。

ブラトップはブラに比べて圧倒的に「楽」です。この楽さは柔らかくて締め付けがないことから来ています。

買わない人が増えてきた以上、ブラはそろそろ滅びが近いのかもしれません。

一方で、少数派の体型の人はブラトップでは間に合わないということもわかりました。

XSから4XLまでの1パラメータしかない…つまり、同じ服を拡大・縮小したようなものしかなくて縦長や横長やカップ数のバリエーションがないので当然そうなります。中小企業やファストファッションならともかくユニクロがこうしているのは不可解です。

これはエアリズムのブラトップの商品展開です。G65だったりA90だったり身長180cmの細身だったりすると着るものがありませんね。

ところで私はD65で身長158cmと幸運にも平均的な体格で、Mサイズが適合するようなので買いました。

これでは困ります。

前に乳房間のスキマの有無と、U字（前中心が高い）ブラとL字（前中心が低い）ブラの違いについて書きましたね。

増田は極端なスキマなし体型のようで、ホールド力の弱いブラで軽く寄せただけでも谷間にシワができるほど深く寄ります。ちょっとでも前中心が高いブラをつけると干渉するので極端に前中心の低い「自由のブラ」をつけています。

痛くも苦しくもなく、ズレも浮きもせず、みっちり支えてくれる非常に良いものです。ユニクロのノンワイヤーと着用感は大差ありません。

極端な形なので合わない人が多そうですが少なくとも前中心が胸に刺さる痛みからは解放されるでしょう。

案外似たような品がないので、もし廃盤になったらどうしたものか。

はじめまして。出来ればこんな記事を始まりにしたくなかったですが、名出しでコメントを残す事に抵抗があったので、私が参加した理由と、今後の日本どうしたらいいんだろうという話を、ぶつ切りで勝手にしていきます。

※匿名の理由は身内に名前と文章の二つでピンとこられたら嫌だったからです。身内が無関心だったら書いてた。

※頭の中でグルグルしてたものを解消するための個人的な日記です。誤字脱字はご愛嬌。

※コメントは見ません。

※何が言いたいのか自分でも良くわからんので何となくでよろしくお願いいたします。苦情は受け付けません。

まず、よく「署名はやり過ぎ。ポリコレやフェミと一緒」と言われていますが、混同したらそれこそ駄目なところじゃないかと私は思います。

なぜなら今回の問題と、俗に言われる歪んだポリコレや歪んだフェミニストたちには大きく違いがあるんです。どういう事か。

【比較】

《今回の問題》

・歪めた史実を史実かのように扱い、しまいには世界中に言い回っているところが問題視されてるのであって、表現内容自体は問題視されていない(一部著作権や文化財使用の違反などあるが、そこはとりあえず今は控える)。

・資料をもってして、正しいか正しくないかのジャッジが用意にできる。

《歪んだポリコレやフェミニストの主張する問題》

・可愛くて胸の大きい女性,(例えそういう世界観であっても)黒人やマイノリティを登場させない事など、表現内容自体が批判の的になっており、何より「これが蔑視だ！」などと言い出すし、一度世にだすとポスターや出版物を取り下げるだけには収まらない。

・主張の元が完全に個人の主観でしかなく、資料でジャッジする事ができない。

といった風に、簡単に上げるだけでもかなり違いがあります。

私個人は、黄色人差別は当然あるものだと思っていたので、差別だなんだという部分はあまり主張したくないです。まああれだけあからさまな発言を公式インタビューでししまったのには驚きでしたが「やっぱそういう人もいるんだなぁ」くらいです。

では続き。細かくお話します。

《表現内容自体は批判していない》

これここ、初手が一番重要です。

日本の皆さんがだいたい言っている第一声目……

「弥助でもいい」

「別におかしい日本でも問題はない」

などなど。

つまりこれ、認めてるんですよね。表現自体は。

正直言いますと、私は署名に参加した身ではありますが、もしUbisoft側が『全世界のインタビューで』『弥助は侍じゃないし我々の描いたフィールドはほとんどがヘンテコジャパンだが、そういう面白おかしいゲームが作りたかった』と、言ってくれるならそれでいいし、その上で著作権や文化財問題をしっかり片付け、過去作の習慣通りに『この作品はフィクションです(以下略定型)」』をゲーム内に入れたのであれば、今度は『アサクリ別に発売してもいいんじゃないの運動』に全然参加していいと思ってます。むしろちゃんと解決したなら、発売してはならない理由も無くなるので、発売中止になったら理不尽です。

というかこの署名参加者の少なくとも4割以上は、条件さえ守れば発売していいと思っている人がほとんどじゃないでしょうか。コメントみる限りはそう思います。

署名で押したのならば、それで改心した相手には署名で支えればいいだけの話。

まあ今回の問題は海外勢やアサクリファンも関わるとその署名が現在の署名に勝るか不安要素は大きいですがね。そこはおいておいて。

この考えをしている人も、発売停止まで求めたら歪んだポリコレやフェミニストと一緒なのでしょうか。答えはノーでしょう。

さて、次です。

《資料を持ってのジャッジと、資料がただのゴミになる瞬間》

ここも重要。表現を認める云々にも深く関わりがありますね。

アサクリの問題は、根深い歴史改変が大きく関わってきてるので……と言いますか、彼らが取り上げた上で日本人の逆鱗ポイントを踏み抜かなかったらもっと恐ろしい事になっていたので、ある意味では彼らには感謝していい。

改めて今回の流れをざっと確認。

歴史改変がたった一人の男、ロックリーによって、Wikipediaと書籍ですでに15年ほど続けられていた。

その結果。伝説の黒人侍弥助など、日本の間違った歴史が少しずつ史実として一部の黒人コミュニティ(兼ねて言うけど一部だからね)や一部の海外の人たちの間で定着してくる。

弥助を見つけたUbisoftが諸悪の根源とアサクリシャドウズを生み出してしまう。

弥助発表当初の多くの日本人「弥助！　いいね！」

例のインタビュー「史実に基づいて、日本の専門家にも話を聞きながら作った」

ここで多くの日本人大激怒。

いろいろあって炎上し続け、今に至る。

何となくお分かりいただけますか。アサクリというビックタイトルは「歴史改変を世に浸透させるためのキーポイント」なんじゃないかと思います。諸悪の根源の男に利用された感は否めません……だからこそ「Ubi目を覚ましてくれ！」と、言っているわけです。

あと大きな問題があって、ポリコレやフェミが当たり前になっても、嫌だけど、嫌だから嫌って反論してるんだけど……常識(モラル)が変わるだけです。しかし今回のこの所業を許してしまったら「日本の間違った歴史が常識になる」わけです。

これが『資料がゴミになる瞬間』です。

「真に黒人差別をしていたのは日本で、イエズス会はむしろ救済者」とか「日本人には黒人の血が流れてる」とか……あげたらきりがないそれら、反論しても聞き入れてもらえない現象が起きます。こういった面倒臭いパターンを日本人ならよく知ってると思うのですが、慰安婦(に、限らず植民地時代の状況)とか。ここら辺持ち出すと変な人に噛みつかれそうですが、インフラ整備したのは日本だし、ハングルの確立は日本の功績大きいし、慰安婦は自分からお金を貰うため売春した人たちで無理やりはしてないし、当時を知る人ほど親日の人多いし……と、いうわけ何ですがご存知でしょうか。

少し脱線しましたが、簡潔に言うと、黒人差別問題における被害者と加害者それぞれの自慰に付き合わされるようになりかねないという話。

資料という証拠は完全にはゴミになりませんし、例として慰安婦問題ですが、アメリカを仲介者として「これ以上賠償金を求めません」という約束事がとりつけられるまでになりました。ですが、どうでしょう、ヨーロッパを巻き込んで支持者を集めるやり口を続けています。これが、真に資料がゴミになるという事。

わかりますかね。

あと、海外では歴史やモラルは専攻でもしない限りは親が教えるものという国も少なくないので、個人的に危惧する大きいポイントです。世代を重ねてどんどんヤバいものになってしまう可能性が大きい。

と、言うのもあって。

打てる手は早めに強いものを打った方がいいですよね。今はそれです。

そして署名は暗に「協力か戦犯か、どっちを選ぶ」と訊いている趣旨が強いと思います。

【問題を受けて日本が取った方がいい行動】

アサクリ問題はもう既に、ただの1ステップですね。もはやこれは国一つの歴史を守るためのネット戦争です。毎日のようにレスバが繰り広げられる地獄絵図に、風刺芸術まで出てきたので本当にすごい事になった。

アサクリシャドウズが取り下げられるか、開発が日本人の味方として手のひらを返すか……どちらのコースになっても、それで収まる問題じゃない事はもうお分かりいただけたでしょう。おそらく勘違いしている人がいる度に指摘しなくてはならない、そんな長期戦になると思います。

《日本国内の問題と国学としての見直し》

さて、

自信満々のその解答、あってますでしょうか。

答えは……真田……

信繁です。

大正解の人はガッツポーズして誇ってください。とりあえず「誰だよ信繁って。幸村だろ？」とかって思った人はそこになおって話聞いてください。マジでしらない人はこの際知識を持とう。

これを間違えるのむりもないんですよね。

だって『教科書が間違えてる』からです。

幸村という名前は本人は名乗っておらず、後世、江戸時代の小説家が勝手につけたものです。徳川幕府を誤魔化し世に出すためのカモフラージュ説が有力なので、リスペクトが欠けているわけじゃないです。ただし、小説が有名になってしまったために、史実がねじ曲げられてしまった。

教科書も幸村、歴史番組も幸村。一応「(信繁)」ってあるけど、幸村は創作の名前で本人と関係がないというコラムもない。これで間違って覚えないはずがない。

■『セクシー田中さん』脚本家への個人叩き、筋違いだと思う

ドラマ版改変への原作者による実質的な苦言から火がつき脚本家が槍玉に上がって炎上状態になっている。

過去作でも原作ファンに不興を買う改変があっての今回なので不満が噴出するのは仕方ない面もあるけど、インスタの文言を無闇に攻撃的に読み取ったり言葉尻を捉えて人格批判したりともはや「叩いていい悪人」認定されており非常に怖い。

そもそも脚本の出来不出来はともかく改変の方向性は脚本家の一存で決まらない。

ゴーサインを出したディレクターなりプロデューサーがいるのだから誰か責任を負うべきというならその人たち。

でも個人的に思うのは原因は特定個人ではなくそういう改変が受け入れられる視聴者含む日本のドラマ界であって、そしてそれが問題かというとそうでもないのでは？

改変してテレビ視聴者はそれを喜んで見る。

（たぶん。数字が悪くなるなら改変しないわけだし）

原作ファンは渋い顔をするけどじつはドラマ化メディア化というのはファン以外の大多数に向けて行われるもの。

改変は言わばその人たち向けのローカライズ。

はっきり言えばネットで怒ってる人たちは元々お客さんじゃないということ。Not for you.

だから脚本家を叩くのも原作ファンが噴き上がること自体も二重に筋違い。

今回の件では原作者との合意を蔑ろにした問題は別にあるけど。

改変は大罪で正義は我らにあるという認知がネットリンチを正当化していて危うい。

■日航機衝突事故の記事に対するブコメへの補足

いくつか星をいただいたので、これに対するコメントだと思うのだが、以下のようなコメントがあった。

id:skel 2024/01/03 「着地前ならゴーアラウンドで回避できた」とか言ってる奴がいて目眩がする。日没後に数キロ先の海保機が目視できるわけないし、目視できる距離になってから回避動作しても間に合わないでしょうが。。。

これが結構星を集めているので、上のコメントについていくつか補足説明をしたいと思う。

ブコメは100文字なのでコメントでは十分な説明ができなかったのだが、「充分手前で」というのは、復行操作が間に合う程度に手前でという意味であり、「見えていたはずだ、ということになれば」というのは、日没後なので航行灯や閃光灯で機体の存在を認識できればという意味で書いた。

また、仮に視認できていれば復行で回避できたはずだというコメントは主に2つの航空事故・インシデントを念頭に置いて書いた。

一つは事故でロサンゼルス国際空港地上衝突事故 - Wikipedia、もう一つはインシデントでエア・カナダ759便ニアミス事故 - Wikipediaである。

どちらも日没後の時間帯に起きた事故・インシデントである。

ロサンゼルス国際空港地上衝突事故について

この事故は滑走路上にいたスカイウェスト航空5569便に着陸機であるUSエアー1493便が衝突した事故である。

事故の主な原因は管制官のミスであり、滑走路上にスカイウェスト機を待機させているのを失念してUSエアーに着陸許可を出したことが事故を引き起こした。

事故調査は直接的な原因を見つけて終わりではなく、事故を引き起こした様々な要因をできる限り多く見つけ、再発防止に役立てようとするものである。

であるから、仮に管制ミスがあったとして、着陸機側の判断で事故を防ぐことはできなかったのかというところまで調べられる。

事故調査では着陸機は滑走路上にいるスカイウェスト機に気づくことができなかったのかどうかも調べられた。これを調べることになったのは、気づくことができていれば復行で事故を回避できたはずだと考えられたからに他ならない。

Wikipediaでは次のように解説されている。

また事故当時は日没後であり、管制官が滑走路上の機体を探した際、滑走路の照明が眩しく機体を見つけることは困難だった。またUSエアー1493便から見た場合、滑走路上の照明と5569便の衝突防止灯や航法灯が直線状に重なっていたため、着陸前に機体に気付くのは困難だった。

「メーデー！」ではスカイウェストのマニュアルでは離陸許可が出てからストロボライトを点灯させることになっており、滑走路上で離陸許可を待っていたスカイウェスト機はストロボライトを焚いておらず、点灯されていたストロボ以外の航行灯も滑走路のライトと同化して見えなかったという話になっていたはずである。

つまり、この事故の場合、着陸機側から(地上機がストロボを焚くなどして)見えていれば回避できたが見えなかったのでノーチャンスという話になる。

エア・カナダ759便ニアミス事故について

このインシデントはエア・カナダ機が着陸許可された滑走路ではなく、並行している誘導路に誤って進入したために、誘導路上で待機していた4機の機体と衝突寸前まで近づいたが衝突はギリギリで回避できたというものである。

原因は、パイロットの疲労、NOTAMにあった滑走路閉鎖情報の見落とし、それによる滑走路と誘導路の誤認、ILSを用いずVisual Approachを採ったことなど様々あるが、このインシデントでは実際に衝突を回避しているので回避までの様子を中心に話をしたい。

時系列でいうと次のように事態は進行した。

午後11時55分46秒、エア・カナダ機が空港まで0.7マイルの地点に来た時、機長は滑走路28R(と誤認している誘導路C)上に航行灯があることに気づき、管制に「And Tower, just wanna comfirm. It's Air Canada 759, we see some lights on the runway there. Please, confirm we are cleard to land?」と確認を求めた。

同56秒、管制は「Air Canada, comfirm. Cleard to land runway 28R. There is no one on 28R but you.」と滑走路28R上に待機する機体がないと応答した。地上の4機が待機していたのは誘導路C上であり滑走路28R上ではないため当然の回答である。この時エア・カナダ機は空港まで0.3マイルの位置に接近していた。

確認を受け着陸を続行するエア・カナダ759便について午後11時56分01秒に待機列にいたユナイテッド航空機から「Where is this guy going? He's on the taxiway.」と誘導路に着陸しようとしていることが無線で伝えられると、同10秒に管制から復行を告げられた。

この時エア・カナダ機は誘導路から1/4マイル、地上高81フィートまで降下していた。待機列の航空機まであと29フィート(8.8m)というタイミングであった。

エア・カナダ機のパイロットは違和感に気づいており、管制から復行を告げられる直前、地上高85フィートの地点でスラストレバーを押して復行の動作に入っており、その後2.5秒間降下を続け、地上から59フィート(18m)の位置から上昇に転じた。

このインシデントでわかるのは、(誘導路上と滑走路上では状況が異なるが)待機列上にいる機体の航行灯は0.7マイル(約1.1km)手前からでも視認できたことと、違和感に基づいて400mほど手前から衝突前数秒というところから復行操作をしても地上の機体を回避できる程度の高度は維持できるということである。

この事故の原因についての考え方

基本的にはこの文章の最初に引用したコメントの後段の通り「断片的な情報から事故の全体は分からない」ということに尽きる。

この事故についてつけた私のコメントは以下の3つである。
