I made a lot of my mistake in my career, but I gave my best to you.

For 50 years...I give my heart and my soul to our nation.

I was too young to be in the Senate...and too old to stay as president.

I hope you know how grateful I am to all of you.

私はこれまでのキャリアで多くの過ちを犯しましたが、皆さんのために最善を尽くしました。

50年間、私は心と魂を国家に捧げてきました。

上院議員になったときは若すぎたが、大統領の座にとどまるには年を取りすぎていました。

皆さんに対する感謝の気持ちを、しっかりと伝えたいです。
