大学の友人が某コンサルで働いているので、職場も近いしと霞ダイニングで久々にお昼の約束をした。
上司の顔色を窺いつつ昼に抜け出して、合流できたのは12:15前後。どこも混雑でごった返している。
久しぶりだねなんて挨拶もそこそこに、何にしようかと物色を始めた。ここなら混んでないし安いからいいんじゃない？と上等カレーを提案する友人。
ちょっと悩んだけど、気を遣わせるのも悪いと思って列に並んだ。
いつも通り回転の良い店で、ちょっとした近況報告をしているうちに、すぐ二人かけの狭いテーブルに通された。
久々に会う彼は、相変わらず皮肉めいた、少し世の中を斜に構えて見ている口ぶりだったが、以前よりアグレッシブな雰囲気を纏うようになっていた。
まぁコンサルとか商社とかはそんな感じだよね、と思っていると、こちらが呼ぶ前にオーダー取りが来た。
「とんかつチーズで」とノータイムで答える友人と、一瞬止まってから「とんかつお願いします」と伝える私。
正直ちょっとうらやましい。
「どうして丸亀製麺にあんなに並んでるんだろう。みんなそんなに丸亀のうどんすきなのかな」
と彼がぼやいたとき、まぁそう思うよねぇ、、、と思ったし、そう返した。
実際うどんは好きだし、ここの丸亀のスタッフさんはみんな手際も（愛想も）いいから見た目ほど並ばない。
でも一番の理由は、価格だ。釜揚げ380円は非常に魅力的で、てんぷら２つつけても700円しない。たまに釜玉にするけど、それでも800円。
思えば反対側のミスターハングリーもよく並んでる。並盛（にしては多いが）で500円からだった。
こちらは回転もよくないし、なぜか電波が通らないのであんまりいかないが、それでもコスパは非常にいいし、何より醤油バジリコが好きだ。
上等カレーは、チェーンの和カレーでは結構おいしいし、店の雰囲気も好きだが、行くのには若干ためらう。
プレーンのカレーでも680円、とんかつカレーでも950円。チーズをonしたら1100円だ。
私だってできれば、とんかつほうれん草にしたいが、昼食に1000円オーバーは勇気がいる。かといってプレーンも味気ないし、見栄も張った。
でも彼からすれば、こんな感覚はもう学生時代で抜け切ったし、それだけの（物質的な）余裕が生まれているのだろう。
その証拠にほら、君のスーツはそんなに光を反射して輝いているじゃないか。
彼は今でも大切な友人の一人だ。思慮深く、洞察力がある。皮肉屋だが人当たりもいいし、会話していて楽しいし刺激になる。
一方で想像力が若干足りないのは（私も少なからずそのきらいはあるが）、高等教育を受けた人々に対してよく言われている通りだ。
彼には幸せになってほしい。別に彼に限らず、この国に生きる人全てが自らの幸福を追い求められる、その下支えがしたいと思っていた。
そのためになら、（実際今よりよい環境を得られたかはともかく、）自分の待遇や労働環境が悪くなろうと、満足感をもって日々を生きられると信じていた。
ただ、現実には人間はやりがいや誇りのみで生きることはできず、むしろその誇りを守るためにいらぬ見栄を張り、より自らの惨めさを嚙み締める。
そもそも私の仕事は人々の幸福追求の素地を形作れているんだろうか。
これはこういう職業を選択した（してしまった）私の責任だ。あるいは５秒前に設計された世界がそのようにできていただけの話だ。
どんな職業・生き方であっても、良い面と悪い面があるし、辛い思いをすることだってみんな普通にあるはずだ。何も私だけが胸の奥底で叫んでいるわけではない。
それでも、（少なくとも私の記憶の中では）学生時代には毎日コンタクトをしていたのが、眼鏡を普段使いするようになったことを、彼は気づいてくれただろうか。
彼は近々結婚を予定していて、交際相手と同棲を始めたらしい。二人での生活を立ち上げ、いずれは子供も欲しいね、なんて相談していると言っていた。
少なくとも彼は、自らの幸福に向かって進もうとしているようだ。未来に希望を持ってくれている。
このことは素直にとても嬉しいし、非常に喜んだが、しかし私自身の幸福には、もうならない。私は何を幸せと思い、何に向かえばいいのか。

The idea was to create a replica of a shoe and imprison the person who matched it perfectly as a suspect.
And one after another, people were imprisoned just because of their size. Some of them had not been to the ball, but they thought it must be a lie and were forcibly taken away.
Eventually, an investigation came to Cinderella's house. That's when we all looked at her mother and child after she was discharged from the hospital, and of course her sister didn't fit.
So all that was left was Cinderella. Then, her sister said to Cinderella, ``Hell suits you better than this world.''
She was of course the perfect size for Cinderella.
However, she protested her innocence, saying that I hadn't gone to the ball and there was no dress anywhere in the house to prove it.
However, the prince showed him an empty pack of cigarettes that had been discarded in a trash can and said, ``This is the same brand that the criminal was smoking that time.Why?''
I unbuttoned all the buttons on her jacket.
She said, ``After all, I feel like dancing with the Grim Reaper. Right, little prince?'' she said.
By the time the princes realized it, it was already too late.

広い方がいい。狭いと予想以上にストレス。ベビーカーとか置くのはもちろんのこと、子どもがいなくても大きめの荷物（宅配物）とか一時的においておきたいもので案外場所をとる。玄関は広くしよう。
庭
芝の管理が面倒すぎる。夏場は２週間に一度は芝刈りをしないと草ボーボー。１～２時間つぶれる。汗びっしょ。狭いし虫もたくさんいるし野良猫の糞もあるしでまったく使っていない。結局芝を全部引っこ抜いて人工芝にした。とても快適。芝刈り機はメルカリで売れた。夏場にプール出して子どもと遊ぶとか、家庭菜園をしたいとか、明確な目的があるんだったらいいと思う。要はメンテするコストに見合った価値があるのかどうか。うちは無いからあきらめた。砂利を敷き詰めても良いと思うよ。雑草が生えにくいように防草シートはちゃんと敷こうね。
木
邪魔。なんであるのかわからない、と思ったけどお隣さんの玄関の目隠しになってるっぽかった。緑があるに越したことはないんだけど、放置するとこれも草ボーボーで通り道をさえぎられるから仕方なく定期的にメンテやっている。これ全部抜けば駐輪場スペースが新たに生まれるから数年以内にやろうと思う。
外壁
汚れてきた。特に北側。もう少ししたらヒビが出てくると思う。定期的に塗りなおししなきゃいけないのが憂鬱。お金もかかる。家建てるときには案外考えていなかった費用。ちなみに田舎の実家は２０数年間で一回も塗り直ししてないからいたるところにヒビがある。
宅配ボックス
置き配が浸透して使用頻度減ったけど、まあまあ使っている。割と入りきらない荷物も多いから選べるなら大きめ（奥行）のを選ぶといいと思う。
いらない。洗濯物は乾燥機と浴室乾燥が毎日だからもう何年もベランダを使っていない。何年も使わないと汚くなるから余計使いたくなくなる。布団も布団乾燥機だ。雨漏りの原因になるからメンテしなきゃいけなくて少し憂鬱。これが無ければもっと家が広くなったかもしれないのに。
日当たり
冬場は特に超重要。晴れの日はカーテン開ければエアコンいらないくらい暖かくなる（窓には目隠しシートを貼ろう）。太陽は偉大だ。分譲住宅でどの家にするか選ぶときに、事前にマップみながら日当たりの一番よさそうなところを選んだよ。これが正解だった。お隣さんとか日中でも向かいのマンションにさえぎられて真っ暗だもん。Shade Map（https://shademap.app）がすごい。日当たり具合が地図で確認できるよ。試しに我が家も見てみたけど正確。
郊外といえど土地に限りがあって、一階に廊下が無くて二階への階段と洗面所＆脱衣所へはリビングから直接アクセスする間取り。子どもが大きくなったらお互い気を遣いそう。せいぜい７－８年くらいだろうけどね。地元の姉の家は廊下があって羨ましい。
広い方がいい。特に一階のトイレが狭い。でも優先度は低いかな。二階は広めだからそっちを使っている。あと、トイレタンクの中は数年に一度は開けて掃除した方がいい。えげつないことになってるから。
５年で一回しか使ってない。しかも間違えてOnにしてただけ。快適だったけどね、別にエアコンで暖かいし？とか思うと別に使わない。
自動洗浄の機能はいらない。きれいにならないし業者に頼むときに料金割り増しされる。結局プロに一年に一回キレイにしてもらうのが一番。先日数年ぶりに掃除してもらったら黒い水がドロドロ出てきて、そのあと明らかにエアコンの効きがよくなったから驚いた。
照明
ちょっと高くても調光調色のやつがいい。特に夕方から夜にかけて、段々暖色に変えていくと大人も子どもも徐々に寝るモードになる。スマートリモコンで自動的に設定している。夜に真っ白のライトはもう無理。まぶしすぎ。
ご近所づきあい
最高。分譲住宅だから同じような世代、家族構成（小さい子どもがいる）、みんなその土地は初めて、みたいな家族ばっかりだからすぐに仲良くなる。子どもと一緒に何度もお互いの家々で遊んでる。どんなに立派な家でも周りの人間関係が最悪だとストレス半端ないからこの点すごいありがたい。都心に近い郊外だからもっとドライかなって思ってたけど、結構ウェット（いい意味で）。賃貸だとドライだけど、持ち家だとみんなそこに長期居住する前提だから、自然と関係を築こうとするマインドが働く、気がする。
立地
メインの道路沿いはマジでうるさい。できれば住宅街がいい。片側一車線でもうるさいバイクや車は一定数いるから避けられるなら避けたい（これまでの賃貸アパートの経験）。一軒家だと防音性能高めだから気にしないのかな？よくわからん。あと庭が道路に面していると人によっては子どもと遊ぶときに人の目を気にするかもしれない。あ、あとハザードマップ的には割と終わってる場所だった。１００年に一度の大雨で河川が氾濫するとおしまい。これは祈るのみ。何年か前の台風直撃でも大丈夫だったから若干楽観的。はてなにある、家が浸水した時のまとめはちゃんと保存して定期的に見かえしている。
満足？
満足。いろいろ不満言ってきたけどトータルでは大満足。コロナ前で住宅価格が上がる前だったし。純粋に家が広くなったし子どもの足音とか叫ぶ声とか夜泣きとかあっても周りを気にしなくていいし、周辺の人間関係が良好なのも大きい。注文住宅とかおしゃれな家憧れるけどねーーー。でも吹き抜けで天井付近にある窓とかみて「あれどうやって掃除するんだろ？いまたぶんホコリめちゃたまってるよね？」とか思ってしまう。無意識な僻みもあるのかも。これ妻に言ったら「そういう余計なこと言わない」って怒られた。

親丼←キジ焼き重とかどっかでみた
容器を縦にすると食べにくいしほかに皿を用意して具をどかせて食べることになるのでただの弁当（蓋にもおかずをのせられる）だとおもう
うちは豆腐丼たまにする
ひややっこの上に乗せられるものをすべてのせる（わさび・しょうゆ・天かすかあげだまかあられ・きざみねぎ・きざみのり・納豆・卵の黄身などから適当に）

番組では永野が好きな曲をランキングで紹介してたけど、色んなジャンルの昔の有名所を挙げていて良かった
(古びる曲もあるけど、逆にそれが良いと後世でもてはやされることもあるし。シティーポップとか。
自分も学生時代に大滝詠一とか細野晴臣とか聴いて悶絶していた。面白いし可愛いし絶妙過ぎる。細野天才過ぎで芸風多岐にわたり過ぎ)
今You Tube Musicでドナルド・フェイゲンからのミックスリストを聴いているんだけれども、YESのOwner of a Lonely Heart(1983)がかかっていて、こんなのいつの時代に聴いても新鮮よなと思う(どの時代にあってもプログレッシブ)
