ところが「情報が検索可能になること」と「自分がその情報を得られること」がイコールでは無かったことが問題で
昔は（一部の人にとって）質の良い情報が検索ですぐに出てきたかもしれないが
より広範かつ良質な情報を得るためにマネタイズと承認欲求刺激でコンテンツ生成量を増やしたことで
それらの良質な情報は出てこなくなった、と言えなくも無い
ただしこうした現象は失敗なんかではなく、「検索可能になった世界が生み出す情報」としては必然なのではないか、と思う

まだGTHという会社すらなかった頃の実質1本目作品。超常自然現象?として国境の川に実在するイベントを「対岸の寺がヤラセでやってました」というぶっちゃけた設定にしてしまったところに監督の非凡さが伺える。(Jira MalikulはこのあとほぼすべてのGTH,GDH映画にプロデューサーなどで関わっている)
日本中が「マッハ!!!!!!!!」でアクション映画のタイ映画だと思っていたところに「田舎に残した幼馴染の思い出」という振り返りあるある王道を突き進んだ作品。この映画でいじめっ子のガキ大将役をやったChaleumpol Tikumpornteerawongはこの後脇役で大ブレイクするので、その成長を見るのも楽しい。
音楽学校を舞台にした三角関係のラブコメ。ちょうど日本での「のだめカンタービレ」が流行った頃に上映されたこともあって「タイ版のだめカンタービレ」と言われることもあるがストーリーは全く似ていない。ドラムの先生役を日本人パントマイマー矢野かずきが演じていて、この人の活躍を愛でる映画。
中学生から大学生までの4つのグループのラブコメをかき混ぜた青春映画。幼馴染2人のナンパ競争の対象になったことをこっそり知って小悪魔ムーブをかます女子中学生のストーリーが一番手が込んでいてメインのストーリーだが、日本人的には大学生カップルのサプライズプレゼントをぶち壊す蒼井そらの活躍も見どころ。
30手前の奥手独身女性の恋人探し、というちょうどこの時タイでも問題になり始めた晩婚化現象を都市鉄道開通10周年記念に無理やり組み合わせた、完全なトレンディドラマ的プロットが良くも悪くも話題になった作品。当時のあるあるを突っ込んだ結果、期せずしてタイの現代文化紹介になってしまった部分も含めて興味深い。主演女優は決して美人でないのに時々とんでもなく可愛く見えるところもリアリティを増した。矢野かずきも出る。
ストーリーは最近のみずほ銀行とはあまり関係ないはずだが、「日系銀行のATMアップデート設定が日本語で書いてあったのでうまくアップデート出来なかった」という話の発端は何か今に通じるものを感じさせる。起きたエラー「出金すると口座から引かれた金額の倍が出てくる」の後始末をうまくやったほうが社内恋愛禁止の会社に残る、という設定は日本の女性コミックにもありがち。関係ないとはいえみずほ銀行のアレがあったから今ここに入った。入れ替えの可能性がGTHの今回の中では1番高いかもしれない。「フリーランス」とこっちのどっちを10本に入れるか今でも迷っている。
「長い旅から帰還したら、妊婦だった妻は胎児ともども死んだのに待っていた」という、タイで一番有名な実話怪談を、時代設定をぼかしつつ時代劇で演じた作品。「『アナと雪の女王』を抜いてタイNo.1ヒット」というのが日本での宣伝文句だったが、タイであの作品は記録的な不入りだったことは知っている人ならみんな知っている不都合な真実。とはいえ結局歴代No.1映画なので、リメイクの力は侮れない。
アジア屈指の英語の通じない国タイが、アジアで2番目に英語の通じない国になった(1番は日本)頃の作品。英語学校を経営するキャリア女性が、工場のメンテナンスエンジニアに英語を教えるというラブコメと聞けばそれだけで話のラストは想像可能だが、数々のタイ人英語あるあるに加え、「外人はタイ人を妊娠させると妻を置いて逃げる」「日本人は面接でどうでもいいことを聞き、それを合否判定に使う」という社会?問題を入れているのが意外と深い。この映画にも蒼井そらがちょい役の域を超えて出ているので要注目。
タイの奥地に実在する水上分校をモデルに、素行に問題があってそこに左遷されたベテラン教師と、教師のなり手がなくなってそこに送り込まれたやる気はあるものの教育方法に問題のある新米教師見習いの奮闘を描く作品。2人はベテラン教師の残した日記だけで交流するので、ラストシーンまで出会うことはない。日本語吹き替えの子役は東日本大震災被災者の子供がやった、というのが売りだったが、別にそこを気にする必要はない。タイ文字がわからないと若干面白さは減るのだが、それでも教育の大切さを教えてくれる良作品ではある。
超能力少女メイの学園での活躍をアニメパートも含めて描いた青春映画、と書けば響きはいいが、実のところその超能力は能力というより身体障害に近い扱いづらいものなので、観た直後の感想は「バリアフリーってなんだろう」になってしまうという作品。カトゥーンレンダリングした3Dアニメは一見の価値あり。
北海道全面ロケ協力作品。雪山に迷い込んで記憶喪失になった女性に片思いしていた男が「俺が君の恋人だ」と言い張って、記憶が戻るまでの1日間、北海道を縦横無尽にデートする。タイ人の北海道好きは他の都道府県と比べても群を抜いているのだけれど、その中でもタイ人が何に興味を持つのかとても参考になる。日帰り周遊旅行という点を除けば、日本人にも旅行先は参考になる。
生涯で五十数曲を作曲したプミポン国王(当時)の曲から3曲を使って、3つの短編に仕立て上げたオムニバス作品。主演俳優は近年GDHで活躍している人ばかりなのである意味親近感を感じる。各作品に他の主人公を入れ込むなど芸の細かいところと、会社内の移動がなぜかオートバイ集団走行になってしまうという画作り優先のところが交じる、まさにJira Malikul節の炸裂。3曲聞くと、なぜ国王がタイ国民にあそこまで愛されていたのかがわかってもくる。
タイ国内No.1ヒット作品は「愛しのゴースト」だが、世界No.1ヒットタイ作品はこちら、という、立ち位置的には「君の名は。」(当時)に近い名作。金銭的に腐敗した学校に憤った主人公がカンニング商売に手を出したものの露見して一度破滅するものの、今度は時差と暗記とLINEメッセージを使った世界的カンニングに乗り出す、というあらすじ。とりあえず明日金曜日19時からBS12チャンネルで放送されるので観ておけ。地味な主人公役の少女は、実はけっこうすごいモデルだったりするので映画の力はすごい。
バンコクに現存する建てかけ放置の高層ビルマンションを舞台にしたホラー映画。20年前のアジア経済危機に巻き込まれて百合心中を企てたが生き残ってしまった女性が主人公で、娘が先に死んだ親友と同年齢になったことをきっかけに起き出す奇行に悩まされるのだけど、ホラーと言いつつ目に見える悪霊はほとんど出てこないので逆に怖い。GTH,GDHにはホラー作品も多いのだが、ここまでほぼ1本も入っていないのでここで紹介。もっといい作品が出たら入れ替わる可能性あり。
日本のマンガを通じて育った兄妹の、妹が日本留学を経て日系企業に入ったことで始まる、兄弟愛に関するコメディ作品。よしもとタイ住みます芸人が接待漬けで陥落する上司役で好演している。日タイハーフの、妹の恋人役は、タイ語の話せる日本人を探したが見つからず韓国人が演じていて、彼が頑張って日本語を話すところは期せずして日本人には笑えるシーンになってしまっている。北九州ロケあり。
バッド・ジーニアスのおかげでGDH映画に陽が当たるようになり、こんな映画も日本で上映されるようになった。森絵都の「カラフル」を原作とした作品で、主人公である"ある魂"は自殺したミンの代わりにミンの体に入り、ミンが手がかりを全て捨てて自殺した理由を探っていく。BNK48の中心メンバーが相手役になっているだけでなく、その後注目されるようになったメンバーも1名その他大勢の中に写り込んでいるということで、BNK48フリークには有名な作品。確かにチャープランはかわいい。特に眼鏡。
日本では全く言葉として浸透していない「FRIEND ZONE」をそのままテーマにした作品。高校時代から10年間「いい友達」を演じている男性が、女性の同棲相手の浮気疑惑に一念発起する作品。潰れかけのタイ航空全面協力で、主演俳優は世界各国(ただしASEAN+香港)をまたにかけて活躍する。香港だけ地名表記の時に国名が出ないのは気がつくと意外と深い。両手にビールを持って飲みたい。
現在日本のNETFLIXで唯一観られるGTH,GDH作品(今回挙げた他の作品は全て他の国では配信されている)。イケメンオカマと、デブオカマと、派手オカマの3人オカマ友達が起こすドタバタ、というTVドラマのプロットはそのままに、映画化にあたって派手なシーケンスを増やした、という作品で、正直「日本でもNETFLIXで観られる」という点を除けばここで紹介するほどのものではないのだが、いじろうと思えば今でもこれくらいはオカマいじりできる、という基準点としては参考になるかもしれない。
まだ日本でも公開している映画館があるはず。北欧留学を経て、こんまりメソッドに目覚めた女性が、実家を事務所にするために派手な断捨離を始める、という話。断捨離は本人の借りパクがバレたことで方向修正を余儀なくされるのだけど、そこに元カレが絡んできて話はさらに複雑になる。たぶんこれも、バッド・ジーニアスがなければ日本公開はなかったはず。監督が若干アート寄りなので雰囲気は地味だが、やっぱり面白いものは面白い。NETFLIX(観られれば)には日本語字幕もある。
昨日NETFLIXで配信が始まった、昨年12月公開作品。アカサギにやられた女性の復讐を手伝う詐欺師、という「クロサギ」的作品。主演の詐欺師役をやっているナデット・クギミヤはかなり有名なのだが、おそらくGTH,GDH映画初主演のような気がする。2019年から2020年にかけて、という時系列が明らかにされているため、騙された主演女性はマッチングアプリで出会っていたり、借金を返す足しにYoutuberになったり、さらに脇役の動作などにCovid-19も話に絡んでくるのが時事好きなGDHらしい。
けっこう興味を持ってくれた人がいるので、現状見られる方法を紹介しとく。
そうそう、大阪アジアン映画祭でThe Con-Heartist観た人は途中女主人公が電話で啖呵を切る「ワイドショーで持ちきりでしょうね」みたいなセリフに誰が使われていたか教えて欲しい。さすがにみのもんたではないけれど志らくでも小倉智昭でもないだろうから。

これと2020年を掛けて今年に立候補すると言っているのか、それともアメリカのトランプ嫌いのマスコミのミスリード（ないしは既成事実化）なのかはちょっと分からない
