■男性を呼ぶ時の角の立たない言い方ってなんかある？

おはよう増田諸氏。わたしは朝の電車なうです。

ふと思ったのだけど、席を譲るとか落し物をその場で拾う時に相手を呼称するにはどうするのがいいのかをふと考えたので、もし普段こうしてるってのがあれば教えて欲しい。

｢おじいさん、席おかけになりますか？｣

こういうやつって｢俺はまだそんな歳じゃない！｣ってパターンがあるじゃん？

女性の時は私は必ず｢お姉さん｣と呼ぶようにしてて、これに嫌な顔する人は今のところ会ったことがない。

そうだよ。going toが「ガナ」になるのはデフォルト。むしろゴゥイングトゥーなんて言っているの無いでしょ。

あとyouみたいな意味の薄い単語は、「オマエが！」みたいに強調したいときを除けば、「ュ」みたいに発音されるはず。

＂I’m going to talk to you about ～＂

I'm　は　ァム　ただし「ム」の母音ウは発音しない

going to　は　グナ

talk to you　は　ターットュ　talkのLは発音するがkは次にtがあるから発音しない

about　は　ゥバウ　最後のtは発音しない

みたいな感じじゃないかな。

そもそも意味的に大事なのは「～」の部分なので、

その前は割とどうでもいいから全部弱く早く発音するかも。

■英語の会話できなさすぎて仕事 挫折しそう

英会話学習歴1年ちょっと

中学英語の記憶なんて失ってるお年頃

部署移動により海外の同僚と仕事をすることになったので英会話を習い始めた

今、何度目かの短期出張で現地に来てるんだけど

イタリアにいる設定かつ、名もない町の職場じいるとして

コーヒー飲んでたら現地の同僚が

って聞いてくる訳よ

聞き取れたんだけど意味がわからず、いや直訳って意味ではわかんだけど、

なんでローマ？

打ち合わせとかでそんな話しあったっけ？

僕が彼らにローマに興味あるようなこと話したっけ？

もしかしてローマで有名なイベントがあるとか？

いやもしかして聞き間違いか？

（この間2秒くらい）

と思って聞き返しても同じこと言うし、

どんどんパニックになって同僚困らせちゃうしで。

恐らく、What do you mean?とかDo I have to go to Roma?とか聞き返して会話成立させるんだろうけど、フリーズしてしまった

結果的には「週末にローマに観光に行くのか？」ってことらしいんだけど脈絡なさすぎて、英会話教室だとwhereとかweekendとかsightseeingとか先生は使ってくれるじゃない！

Are you going to ～の会話が成立させれないないなんて、初めから自信ないけどこれから伸びてく自信もなくなるわって思った、

なにより同僚に申し訳ないし。

まぁでも明日も元気に間違ってる英語で話しかけにいきまくるしかないんだけどね。

「日本人にはあまりに速くて聴き取りづらい」

ではなくて

「そもそもマジで発声すらしていないから音自体が脱落している」

という瞬間がめちゃくちゃある

俺が聴いた音声のなかで1つ例を挙げれば

＂I’m going to talk to you about ～＂

だったら

＂アイマトークトゥウｧバ～＂

みたいな感じで、

実際の発声には＂going to＂の欠片もない

＂you＂部分の音の実在は辛うじて認められるけどビックリするくらい控えめ

「実は聴き手が音を脳内補完するもんなんです」的なフレーズ集を知識として頭に叩き込まない限りネイティブレベルのリスニングはほぼ不可能なのでは？
