外国企業がAlways-Connected PCとかセルラー回線で常時接続をするコンセプトを打ち出してきてるのに「日本は公衆 wifiがろくに使えない」とかいってるのな。

日本は安いセルラー回線が充実してモバイル環境はリードしてたのに「wifiが使えないから不便だ。充実させろ」ってあさって方向に舵をきって、その間に海外はセルラーを充実させて正当な進化を遂げるといういつものながれ。

■テスラの件

テスラの件は、コメントが一方に振れ過ぎていたので、カウンターとして少し強めにコメントしてみました。

少し扇情的に書いた部分もあったので、気分を害されたとしたらごめんなさい。

ただ、Moreover, you should consider yourself obligated to do so until the right thing happens.

とかもそうですが、まぁ今の日本でこんなことを言うと、結構非難されると思っていて、

その文脈を踏んでのAlways view yourself as working for the good of the company and never your deptなので、

まぁ割とマッチョだなぁと。

個人的には、テスラって会社としてはどうなんだろうという意見を持っています。

AppleとAmazonの悪いところを倣っているというか。

最近では以下の記事も話題になっていましたし。

■KinKi Kidsの音源のみコンプリート用CD リスト

KinKi Kidsの音源のみをコンプリートしたい場合に購入すべきCD リストの個人的まとめ（2017年 12月1日現在版）

ファンクラブに入り熱心にライブに行く層ではないが、彼らの歌がとてもいいなあと思い、いまから音源をそろえたいと思った人（あんまり居なさそう・・・）用の買うものリスト。

ブックレット、ジャケット、映像特典、付録を度外視し、音源のみのコンプリートをめざす場合。

ライトリスナーはCDをそろえるだけでもけっこうな物量があるので、未CD化音源があることは承知しつつ、ひとまずDVDはライブ音源としてカウントしない。

入手容易さについてはほぼ考慮しない。誤記指摘歓迎。個人的まとめのため、ご購入の際には公式サイト等で再度ご確認下さい。

1999 年っていうのは、ぼくの興味はロックからテクノに移っていた頃。J-POP なんてのにはまったく興味持てなかったけど、居間でミュージックステーション映ってて、「うっさいなー」とか思いながらごはん食べてた。

次の出番は、宇多田ヒカルっていう子。あー、"Automatic" の子ね。タモさんとのトークもそこそこにステージへ。曲名は "First Love" 作詞作曲：ともに宇多田ヒカル、だって。ふーん、初恋の歌ね。まあ、十代の子が書くポエムにありがちｗでもよく言えばピュアな題材だねｗｗ

イントロ

ふむ、バラード。

最後のキスはタバコの flavor がした

ハッ…！なんだこの歌い出しは…っ？！　いきなりキス描写！つーか、なんだその妙に大人びた味表現！！演歌か？！？！ R&B 風情がやりたかったんじゃないのか。ビックリした！

わわっ。突然、あしたの話になった。そして「どこかわからない」とこの歌世界の空間も一気に広げてきた。かつ、どこか「わからない」喪失状態…ッ！この宙吊り感は、あれだ…恋だ。恋の歌だわこれ。この不安とワクワク感。恋だ。

えっ…？！まさか、失恋？！　早い！展開早い！でもしかたない！それが first love の宿命だからッ…！ていうかなんだこの小娘、まだ子供のはずじゃ？！？！失恋のことを完全に表現している。

やべー！！！！ここでサビかっ！すごい…なんだこれは。おれもうこの子から１秒たりとも外すことができなくなってる。

明らかにこの歌のサビだ。だけどこれ、歌謡曲のサビじゃねえ。この一段まったりとしたというかハズした感じ… R&B 的と言ってよいかわからないが、このテンポとリズムと…歌唱力。そしてこの子の落ち着きはなんなんだ。そんなことよりも、メチャクチャ綺麗なメロディーだ。わわ、だめだもうこの子に夢中だ。なんだこの才能は。歌詞とかもはや、よくわからなくなってきた。

いまはまだ悲しいラブソング／あたらしい歌、歌えるまで

ああ…おれはずっと、この子があしたを不安にしていることについてばかり考えていた。ところがだ。この子は自分で気持ちを改めて未来のことを語り出した。なんて強いのだ。そして正しい。悲しさに溺れていてはいけないんだ。宙吊りにされてまさかその直後で学ばせられるとは。許してくれ、この子この子いって申し訳なかった。

…そしてこのあと２番がつづき、コーラス（サビ）のリフレインという構成である。いまさらながらリフレインの素晴らしさを改めて感じ取った。感動である。そして、うしろからすすり泣く声が聞こえたから見てみると、いま俺が目撃した凄まじい音楽を同じように聞いていた母親が箸を置き、もう目を真っ赤にして泣き崩れていた。このとき、母親もかつては少女だったのかもしれないと初めて思った。

サザンオールスターズがデビューした年にはまだ生まれてないから知らないけど、ベストテンで初めて「いとしのエリー」流れたときもこんな感動だったのかな？なんて想像をする。そしてこの感動からかれこれ 17 年経って世の中も変わったけど、さすがにこんな「衝撃」と呼んでしかるべき才能にはなかなかお目にかかれないよなって思ったのは Keep Tryin' のビデオ見てたら町あかりを思い出したからで、才能の種類としてもたぶん同類なのに町あかりは「衝撃」とは表現できない。

■自動 翻訳に優しい日本語

語学力がなくても、自動翻訳に優しい日本語を書ければ海外で必要なコミュニケーションはとれる。自動翻訳に優しいということは、文章が明確でわかりやすい論理構造を持っているということだ。だから論理的思考の練習にもなる。

と、ある本で読んだので練習してみた。

結論を先に書く。自動翻訳に優しい文章を書くコツは、

・主語と述語を明示する

・文を入れ子にしない（関係代名詞などを多用する文を避ける）

・並列表現を避ける（自動翻訳はand の解釈が苦手なので）

だった。

さて実演。グーグル翻訳を使う。よく自動翻訳ネタで使われる『走れメロス』の冒頭を題材にする。

まずは原文。

「メロスは激怒した。必ず、かの邪智暴虐じゃちぼうぎゃくの王を除かなければならぬと決意した。メロスには政治がわからぬ。メロスは、村の牧人である。笛を吹き、羊と遊んで暮して来た。けれども邪悪に対しては、人一倍に敏感であった。」

グーグル翻訳すると、

「Melos was furious . Always , we decided the unexpected must be removed the king of Kano Jachi violence Jachibogyaku . The Melos unexpected know politics . Meros is a shepherd of the village . 読めたもんじゃねえ。

何度か書き直して、なんとか読める英語に翻訳できる文章にした。結果は次の通り。

ある日、マレーシア人のイスラムの女の子(14歳)から facebookに友達申請が来たんだ。

俺、マレーシアに住んでるんで、マレーシア人の友達はいるんだけど、共通の友達はいなかった。

14歳の子を承認してやり取りしてたら、その子のお姉ちゃん(18)からも申請が来たんで承認した。

その2人と別々にやり取りしていて数日経つんだけど、

イスラムの学生生活には興味があるから、14歳の子に「好きな男の子はいるの？」とか聞くと「never and ever!（ない、絶対！）」

「告白とかないの？」聞くと、「そんなことは許されない」とか言うんだよね。

イスラムだなあ。可愛らしいなと。

この間、家族で日本旅行に行ったらしいので、18歳の子に「日本とマレーシア大分違った？」って聞いたらこう返ってきた。

「Yeah.. But, my opinion that japan is islamic country because i see the characteristics in islam.. So,that is my conclusion.. I always said to my friends to follow japanese people behavior.. So that's why i respect to japanese people..」

「日本はイスラムの国なんだと思う。イスラムに象徴される形見たし。なので、私はいつも友だちに日本の人達の振る舞いを見習いなさいって言ってるのよ。だから私は日本人を尊敬してるの。」

訳大丈夫かな。。

訳し方で強くも弱くもなるから、できれば英語の方で感じて欲しいんだけど。

完全なイスラム教の人ってこうなのかって思ったし、「まさかこういう勧誘の手法なのか？」とも少し勘ぐってしまった。

Przynajmniej z wyglądu, bo po tych strzępkach dialogów, które pojawiają sie na ekra nie z jej udziałem ciężko się zorientować kim właściwie jest ta pani, która w pewnym momencie pojawia się z tarczą i mieczem u boku Supermana i Batmana.

Just writing does not always make you improve. You need good feedbacks indicating your mistakes, weakness, and the way you fix these.

However, people who are familiar with English sometimes say they've practiced their English by translating all phrases they got in their mind in everyday life. Writing on your own have some certain amount of learning effect.

In my experience, using English (and getting feedbacks from it) in various situations is important to get solid skill. Different situations need different representations.

I've translated the lyrics of "Free! Eternal Summer character song by Sousuke Yamazaki" "Just wanna know".

Translating Japanese, making rhyme in English, trying to sync translated lyrics with the music, etc, all at the same time were quite hard...lol

I'd appreciate any feed-backs like pointing out my mistakes or giving me some improvements.

"In this way he remains focused internally on the body in & of itself, or externally on the body in & of itself, or both internally & externally on the body in & of itself. Or he remains focused on the phenomenon of origination with regard to the body, on the phenomenon of passing away with regard to the body, or on the phenomenon of origination & passing away with regard to the body. Or his mindfulness that 'There is a body' is maintained to the extent of knowledge & remembrance. And he remains independent, unsustained by (not clinging to) anything in the world. This is how a monk remains focused on the body in & of itself.

このように、比丘は内部から、体そのものに対して気づきを保ちます。あるいは、外部から体そのものに対して気づきを保ちます。あるいは、内部・外部両方から、体そのものに対して気づきを保ちます。あるいは、比丘は体に関する現象の発生に気づきを保ちます。体に関する現象の消滅に気づきを保ちます。あるいは、体に関する現象の発生と消滅に気づきを保ちます。あるいは、比丘の「体が存在する」という気づきは知識と想起の範囲で保たれます。そして比丘は独立を保ち、世界の何物にも執着しません。これが比丘が体そのものに気づきを保つ方法です。

"Furthermore, when walking, the monk discerns, 'I am walking.' When standing, he discerns, 'I am standing.' When sitting, he discerns, 'I am sitting.' When lying down, he discerns, 'I am lying down.' Or however his body is disposed, that is how he discerns it.

さらに加えて、比丘が歩いているとき、この比丘は「私は歩いている」とはっきりと知ります。立っているとき、この比丘は「私は立っている」とはっきり知ります。座っているときには、「私は座っている」とはっきりと知ります。横たわっているときには、「私は横たわっている」とはっきりと知ります。あるいは、体がどのような状態になるのであれ、はっきりとその状態を知ります。

"In this way he remains focused internally on the body in & of itself, or focused externally... unsustained by anything in the world. This is how a monk remains focused on the body in & of itself.

これが比丘が体そのものを内部から、あるいは外部から、あるいはその両方から気づきを保つ方法です。そして・・・世界の何物にも執着しません。これが比丘が体そのものに気づきを保つ方法です。

"Furthermore, when going forward & returning, he makes himself fully alert; when looking toward & looking away... when bending & extending his limbs... when carrying his outer cloak, his upper robe & his bowl... when eating, drinking, chewing, & savoring... when urinating & defecating... when walking, standing, sitting, falling asleep, waking up, talking, & remaining silent, he makes himself fully alert.

さらに加えて、比丘が前に進むとき・戻ってくるとき、この比丘は自身に完全に注意を払います。何かに目を向けるとき・目をそむけるときも同様に・・・手足を伸ばすとき・曲げるときも同様に・・・自分の外套（コートなど）を運ぶとき、自分の上着・お椀を運ぶときも同様に・・・食べるとき、飲むときに、噛むとき・味わうときも同様に・・・排尿するとき・排便するときも同様に・・・歩くとき、立つとき、座るとき、眠りに落ちる時、起きるとき、話すとき・沈黙するとき、比丘は自身に完全な注意を払います。
