The report canvasses the existing publicly available evidence of covert cyber-enabled influence operations originating from China to provide an assessment of the CCP’s evolving capabilities. We find that the CCP has developed a persistent capability to sustain coordinated networks of personas and that multiple Chinese government agencies probably conduct, in parallel if not collectively, covert influence operations on social media. Those operations have become more frequent, sophisticated, and effective in targeting democracies by disrupting domestic and foreign policies and decision-making processes.
As a case study, we reveal a previously unreported CCP cyber-enabled influence operation linked to the Spamouflage network, which Twitter and Meta attributed to the Chinese Government in 2019. This new iteration of the network is using inauthentic accounts on US-based and China-based social media platforms to spread unverified claims that the US is irresponsibly conducting cyber-espionage operations against China and other countries. Drawing on slip-ups like an open browser tab identifiable in an image accidentally tweeted by a Spamouflage-linked account, we believe the Chinese Government agencies conducting this influence operation named it ‘Operation Honey Badger.’

Last week, the US Department of Justice unsealed a significant criminal complaint. Police officers from China’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS) were charged with creating ‘thousands of fake online personas on social media sites, including Twitter, to target Chinese dissidents through online harassment and threats’ and for spreading ‘propaganda whose sole purpose is to sow divisions within the United States’.
This announcement marked the first definitive public attribution to a specific Chinese government agency of covert malign activities on social media. However, the MPS is one of many party-controlled organisations that analysts have long suspected of conducting covert and coercive operations to influence users on social media.
Under the guise of ‘guiding public opinion’, a policy concept that dates back to the aftermath of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) justifies its manipulation of information to maintain social stability and political control over China. More recently, China’s authoritarian leader, Xi Jinping, has revived the Cultural Revolution-era term ‘public opinion struggle’ and declared social media ‘the main battlefield’ because of its ability to spread values and ideas—like human rights and democracy—that are perceived as threats to the party’s political legitimacy.
The CCP’s efforts to shape public opinion online now go beyond simply censoring dissidents and spreading pro-government propaganda. They are more global and aggressive, often directly interfering in state sovereignty and democratic discourse and supporting the party’s broader strategic and economic goals.
ASPI’s International Cyber Policy Centre has published a new report entitled ‘Gaming public opinion: The CCP’s increasingly sophisticated cyber-enabled influence operations’, alongside reporting by The Washington Post which explores the he alongside reporting by The Washington Post, which explores the growing challenge of CCP cyber-enabled influence operations conducted within democracies through social media.
The report canvasses the existing publicly available evidence of covert cyber-enabled influence operations originating from China to provide an assessment of the CCP’s evolving capabilities. We find that the CCP has developed a persistent capability to sustain coordinated networks of personas and that multiple Chinese government agencies probably conduct, in parallel if not collectively, covert influence operations on social media. Those operations have become more frequent, sophisticated, and effective in targeting democracies by disrupting domestic and foreign policies and decision-making processes.
As a case study, we reveal a previously unreported CCP cyber-enabled influence operation linked to the Spamouflage network, which Twitter and Meta attributed to the Chinese Government in 2019. This new iteration of the network is using inauthentic accounts on US-based and China-based social media platforms to spread unverified claims that the US is irresponsibly conducting cyber-espionage operations against China and other countries. Drawing on slip-ups like an open browser tab identifiable in an image accidentally tweeted by a Spamouflage-linked account, we believe the Chinese Government agencies conducting this influence operation named it ‘Operation Honey Badger.’

これずっと主張してて怖い😅
「ペルソナ3」が「夜が来る!」をパクったというのは誤りです。実際、「ペルソナ3」は、シリーズの先行作品である「ペルソナ」シリーズの一作品であり、独自のストーリー、キャラクター、世界観を持っています。
「夜が来る!」と「ペルソナ3」は、両方ともシリアスなテーマを扱っていますが、それぞれ異なるストーリーラインやキャラクターを持っています。また、「ペルソナ3」は、日本独自の文化的要素を取り入れた設定やゲームシステムを持っています。
したがって、「ペルソナ3」が「夜が来る!」をパクったという主張は事実ではありません。

・DQⅧ→前作であるⅦがだだ広いだけでゲームの進化を全く感じなかった反動からの高評価。DQシリーズとしては駄目な方。
・鬼武者/GOD OF WAR/DMC→当時の次世代アクションRPGのフラグシップ的な作品ほど、今戻ってくるとただ全てが古臭い上に個性も少ないゲームに感じるだろう。
・キングダムハーツ→コラボすげええええの瞬間風速のみ。ゲームとしては凡作。
・ペルソナシリーズ→ペルソナをやるなら2だけでいい。3以降をやるなら夜が来る!をやればいい。
・GTA→ナンバリングものは最新作があるなら古いのをやる理由が薄い。広さが売りのゲームほどその傾向は強い。その好例。
・レースゲー→上に同じだがより向かい風が強い。最新作がハズレの場合もあるとはいえ、流石にこれだけ時間が経つとどのシリーズもより完成度が高い後続作品が出ている。
・SIMPLE2000→2000円ということに価値があったのでどれもそれぐらいの値段になると存在意義が薄い。
・ホラーゲー→この時代に新機軸を開いたゲームは存在しない。既存の要素をホラーと組み合わせただけのものばかり。
・対戦ゲー(ウイイレ・格ゲー・アーケード移植)→リアルタイムで一緒に競い合う相手もいないのに遊ぶ意味がない。熱帯が元気な最新作をやるべき
・キャラが好きなゲームの過去作→しんどいから辞めておいた方がいい。愛だけじゃゲームの古さは誤魔化せない
・大神→PS2レベルのグラフィックが程よいデフォルメ感を演出している。今の時代にこの粗さを目指すと半端なアンチエイリアスに邪魔されがち。
・ワンダと巨像→ボスラッシュゲーの一つの完成形。足し算と引き算のバランスが完璧。
・ギターヒーロー→音ゲー界に新機軸を打ち出した第一作はどれも後から遊んで損はない。その中でも「なんかかっこいいコトをしている感」という音ゲーのトロの部分が詰まっているのがこの作品。
・塊魂→どの作品もやってることは一緒なのだが、逆に言えば別にどれを遊んでも良い。そういったゲームの一作目は何度も繰り返せるぐらい強いアイディアの最も美味しい部分を食えているので後から遊んで損はない。
・ADV→ストーリーが売りの作品なら別に時代が古かろうが関係ない。でもRPGの場合は昔のRPGをやるという苦痛がセットになるのがしんどすぎる。ADVの場合も既読スキップの仕組みとかが今と比べるとクソだったりするが、PS2までくれば大体の機能は網羅されているので古典を遊ぶのにあまりストレスもないだろう。
・ビューティフルジョー→GCのゲームではあるのだがPS2にも移植がある。これのためにGCを買うことをすすめるほどではない、PS2を持っているなら選択肢に入れるのはあり。独自のゲーム性であると同時に、美味しいところが使い切られており後続に恵まれていない。
イジメられてんのに、「みんな僕のことが好きで弄ってくるだけなんだ。みんな不良みたいに見えるけど、本当は良い人たちなんだ。」とか思ってそうな奴らだよな。
実際の、レイプや殺人や強盗でも、実行犯は、主犯にイジメられて支配されてる奴だったりする。
時かけやペルソナみたいなゲーム、最近だと呪術みたいな漫画を楽しんでるのが、そういう手合い。
というか、ああいうコンテンツで、「イジメられても被害者ぶるな! いじめっ子に怒るな! 復讐どころか仲よくする、和解するという名目で従え!」って洗脳して、そういう屑を量産してる。
自分がやられてることに、本当はムカついてるくせに、悪いことじゃないと思い込もうとしてるから、腹いせに、他人を攻撃するんだよね。
自分もやられてるけど、悪いことじゃないと言われてるから、もっと弱い奴にやってやるって。
本当に悪いことじゃないと思ってるなら、やってる奴らにやり返せば良いのに、それは怖くてできない時点で、結局、相手に加害してる自覚はあるんだよ。
んで、同じことされたら、やってる奴らは間違いなくキレるわけで、そいつらは、完全に悪意を持ってやってる。
自分こそイジメられる可能性のある奴らに対して、イジメを正当化するような物を売りつけてるのが、本当に悪質なんだよね。
細田のイジメ映画『時をかける少女』を持ち上げてるキモオタと同じで、ペルソナ好きな奴って、オタクの中でもそうそう痛い奴しか居ないし。
説得心理学には、最後に、単純な反論があっただけで、議論に勝ったかのような印象を植え付けられるって心理効果がある。
わざと最低のバカを演じるのも手段の一つで、同じフレーズで反論したら、ひたすら不毛なレスバになって、どっちもどっち厨に、どっちも悪いと勘違いさせられる。
本当に卑劣。
P4で、イジメられた側を徹底的に悪く描いておきながら、特に差別もイジメ儲けてないホモは、悪いことじゃないんだと言うだけで偽善ぶる。
結局、イジメられてたり、本当の社会的弱者には何一つ寄り添ってないどころか、数でイジメ側に付いてるのがLGBT。
だから、「もう同性愛とか、若い人は気にしてないんだよ」とかほざき出す。
ならもう差別なんて無いわけで、要するに、そっちが多数派でマジョリティでイジメる側になってるから、そっちに付いてるだけじゃん。
結局、あらゆる悪の根底には、ペルソナみたいなゲーム作ってる奴と、それを平気で楽しんで持ち上げてるキモ豚共がいるんだと思う。
エンディングを迎えたけど、本当に凄いゲームだった。エンディングを聞きながら、涙が止まらなかったよ。
もう俺も大人なので、子供の時の様にゲームで感動した話を誰かとするような事も殆どないのだけれど、風化しないうちに増田に残して、いつか自分で振り返りたい。
エンディングテーマの「僕らの光」の歌詞は、明智に対する主人公からの追悼なんだろう。
統制の神ヤルダバオトに選ばれた、同じ資質を持った二人のトリックスター、一方が主人公で、もう一方が明智。
神がしかけたゲームの中で戦う事を宿命づけられて、ともに大人に裏切られた過去を持つ、その絆は悲しい。
父に捨てられ、幼い頃に母を失い、「誰にも望まれない子」として父に復讐を誓った少年が、その目的の為に多くの命を手にかけた事や
主人公と仲間たちと数年前に出会えていたら、もっと違う道があったんじゃないかって、現在に対する後悔を抱えて
それでも尚、父に復讐するという信念に対する揺らがぬ決意を支えに戦って、一度は死んだのが明智だ。
極限の状況で、自分の代わりに父を討つ取引を、自身の命と引き換えに敵を引き受ける事を条件に主人公に持ちかけて、その約束を絆として最後に主人公たちと繋がれた気がしたのに、
「クソな自分の人生の最後にしては悪くない」そんな満足した最後を汚すように不幸な過去を何もかも消して、夢想した幸せと仮初の命を与えてくれる丸喜の作った夢の世界は決して認めず、
仮に自らの命を失う事になってもいいと、丸喜を拒絶し、戦って、そうして消えてしまった明智に対する主人公の想いが「僕らの光」なんだよな。。。
甘い甘いおとぎの国 君と会えた歪んだ世界
偽りの幸せでもいいと告げる口 君がそっと塞ぐ
戦って勝てばお前は死ぬ、それでいいのか?と問う主人公に明智は言う
「君が迷う事は、僕に対する裏切りだ」
この言葉、この場面を思い出して、さめざめと泣いた。
「僕に対する裏切りだ」、この言葉を思うと、どうにも胸が締め付けられてしまう。
そもそも明智は、主人公をも躊躇いなく殺そうとしたし、主人公の仲間の家族を、父の命令で二人殺してもいる。
どうやったって許せない犯罪者だし、こいつだけは絶対に殺す、そんな思いをプレイヤーは持ってしまう存在でもあった。
一方で、彼にも権力者の父親に幼少から人生を翻弄された過去があった。父に、誰かに、認められ望まれたかった。ただ、それだけ。
「何でお前なんかが、俺にないものを持ってるんだ」「いいよな、お前は。仲間に囲まれ、認められてさ」と主人公に対する強烈な嫉妬と敵意を向けつつも
その上で、「数年前に出会えてれば・・・」って、自分が選べなかった未来への憧れを口にしてもいた。
丸喜が作った現実は、その数年前に出会った後の幸せを与えてくれる。それを受け入れれば、皆から認められ望まれて、笑っていられる。
だが、その丸喜が作った夢の様な世界に明智を呼び出したのは「明智と決着をつけるという約束を果たしたい」、そう望んだ主人公自身だった。
その思いを丸喜が形にした事で明智には仮初の命を与えられたのだ。主人公が望んだものは、数年前に明智と出会った現実ではなく、敵として絆を結んだ現実だ。
だからこそ、明智は丸喜が作った世界の中で、初めから覚めていたんだろう。
認知を歪められた世界で何もわだかまりのない友人としてではなく、主人公の命を狙い、仲間の親を殺しながらも、最後に取引を交わした敵であることを望まれた明智が、
自身の父に疎まれ捨てられた過去を受け入て背負い、嘘っぱちだけど幸せな現実を受け入れず、自らの存在が消える事を分かっても戦うと決めたのは
主人公にとって決着をつけるべきライバルとして、悪として存在する事を、そうして結んだ絆を、主人公と同じく明智もまた望んだからではなかったかと思う。
明智が望んだのは、丸喜から与えられた夢にまで見た甘い現実ではなく、血を流し苦痛の末に交わした主人公との対等な約束の方ではなかったか。
その決断は、悲しく、そして苦しい。
にもかかわらず、主人公から「消えてしまっても良いのか?」と、友として問われる事は「僕に対する裏切り」でしかなかっただろう。
とても不器用で切なくて、悲しい奴だ。
悲しい現実を作り出した丸喜も、また悲しい男だ。家族を失って心を壊してしまった彼女の作りあげた嘘っぱちの幸せを守り、
同じ様に悲しみを抱えた人たちからも、不幸を消して、死んだはずの家族が生きてる世界の中に主人公と仲間たちを招き入れた。
「この現実を受け入れてくれ」
そうすれば、誰も不幸にならないじゃないか?君は皆の幸せを奪うって言うのか?そう問いかける丸喜に対して、
だけど、その先には絶望を受け入れて乗り越えた成長も、それを支えあった仲間たちとの絆も残らない。
だから、それを受け入れる事は出来ない、お前の作った魂の牢獄では生きていけない、そうして主人公たちは丸喜を否定する。
戦い破れた後に、「大人になってからでもやり直せる、その見本になる…それが僕が君にしてあげられる…仕返しかな」と丸喜は主人公に言った。
父親を殺した明智に向かって「あなたがした事を許せない、だけど、あなたの事は分かる」、そう言った春も、暴走する父や周囲の大人に振り回された少女だ。
母親を殺した明智に向かって「どこからやり直したっていいんだ」、そう言った双葉も、大人によって傷つけられ社会から心を閉ざした少女だ。
そんな彼女たちが、大人に歪められた明智を受け入れようとする、その強さが、また悲しい。
なんというか、全体的に悲しい物語だったな、そんな事を思いつつ、エンドロールを眺めて泣いてたよ。
最後のムービーに映っていた明智の制服姿の通行人、あれが明智なのかどうか?
正直、それが気になる。まぁ、どっちでもいい、プレイヤーの思うように受け取ってくれって事なんかな。
