日本だと
慶應安藤寿康教室の慶應義塾双生児研究プロジェクト、首都圏ふたごプロジェクトが有名だけど
18年間総数1万組の双生児ペアに関して知能・学力や性格、精神疾患や発達障害などを調査して
神経質、外向性、開拓性、同調性、勤勉性といった性格については30〜50％が遺伝要因
知能については70％以上、学力は50〜60％程度が遺伝要因であるとしている。
知能を構成している因子を知識・技能・思考・判断・意欲・関心・態度等の基礎能力として

上記項目を測定し算出している。

養子になった子と養い親、産みの両親のそれぞれのＩＱの相関関係を比較した養子研究法という調査も行われている。
この結果も養子が幼いうちは、ある程度の養い親とのIQの関係性が見られるが
中学生～高校生になると、養い親とのIQの関係はまったくなくなり
逆に養子と本当の親の相関関係は、養子が幼少の頃こそ関係性は低いが、成長するに伴って関係性が高くなる。
という幼少期は子どもの環境によってIQは変化するが、成長していくにつれて遺伝による影響が大きくなってくるという再現性のある結果が得られている。
