以下タイトルを読んでもいただいてお分かりいただけるようにSTAR WARS EP8 最後のジェダイのネタバレ及び、この映画が好きな方には極めて不快な表現が含まれています。
それに関して問題ない方はこの長文にご付き合いください。
先週末、映画史上に残るカルトムービーSTAR WARSの続編、EP8を名乗る映画【最後のジェダイ】が公開された。
海外最大手の評価サイト、Rotten TomatoesでFresh(新鮮、この場合は面白い)であると保証されていること以外は何も事前知識を入れずに公開初日の夕方に見に行った自分を待っていたのはとんでもないものだった。
観客の予想を裏切ることを優先するあまりとっ散らかってカタルシスのないストーリー、銀河を巻き込んだ壮大な戦争のはずが敵味方がいつの間にか人類ばかりになってしまったことによる説得力のなさ、黒人には白人美女はふさわしくないとばかりに略奪愛を行うローズから滲み出る制作人の差別意識などはSTAR WARSの名を冠さない映画であっても「これってどうなの？」と思わざるを得ない点が多々あった。
特にフィンローズパートは30分近くかけて何一つ大勢に影響がなかったばかりか、結果的にとてつもない大失態となり何百人ものレジスタンスが犬死にし、あまつさえその本人達は自分の引き起こしたことなどすっかり忘れて英雄気分でいるという普通の映画なら考えられないことになっている。もしこのサブプロットが存在せず、映画が2時間で収まっていれば、すっかり前立腺が肥大しきっており必死に尿意に耐えていた自分のような人間の評価も今ほど辛辣なものでは無かったかもしれない。
そしてこれら以上にファン（旧三部作）を襲ったものはルークスカイウォーカーのキャラ崩壊を筆頭とした「これまでの物語はなんだったんだ」という絶望感では無いだろうか。
EP6にてルークスカイウォーカーは映画史上に残る悪役にして父親、ダースベイダーに僅かに残る善性を信じ敵の根拠地、新デススターに単身乗り込む。妹のレイアを暗黒面に誘惑するというベイダーの挑発に激高し右手を切り裂きベイダーを追い詰める、しかし自分と同じく機械の右腕を持つ父親に言葉に出来ない繋がりを感じたルークは暗黒面へ来いといざなう皇帝を前にしてライトセーバーを捨てこう言うのだ「Never. I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You have failed, Your Highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me.」巨悪たる皇帝の前で身を守る武器を捨てて「あんたの負けだ」と勝利宣言をするのである。そして最終的に父親をかつてそうだったようにジェダイに帰還させるのだ。このことからSTAR WARSという映画は宇宙規模の戦争で正義が悪を倒すといったことやフォースがどうたらといったことがメインテーマなのではなく、結局最後まで諦めなかった一人の息子がとてつもない悪の道に沈んだ父親を助け出す、ただそれだけの物語なのだと解釈することも出来る。
しかし、最後のジェダイで明らかになったルークの過去はこれまでの物語を全て覆すものであった。親友と双子の妹の間に生まれたベン・ソロからとてつもない闇を感じ寝静まったところを襲い、返り討ちにあったということだ。
EP7、或いは8を見た方の中でベン・ソロことカイロレンからそこしれない深い闇を感じた方が一人でもいるのだろうか。闇落ちの理由は偉大な両親にコンプレックスを抱き、そして両親の仲が悪く仕事に逃げ構ってやらなかったことだったと思う。どこまでが偉大な親に含まれるかは置いておいて、このようなケースは現代日本でもゴマンといるだろう。
百歩譲ってそのようなきっかけでカイロレンが深い闇に沈んだとしても映画ではそのような描写は殆どされない。父親を殺したことに動揺して初めてセイバーを握ったレイに対決で敗れ、母親のいる艦橋にはミサイルを撃ち込めず、師匠を殺してやっと一皮剥けたと思ったらハックス将軍に「女がやった」と言い訳をかますヘタレっぷりである。
一つ擁護させていただくとカイロレン役のアダムドライバーは最高の演技をしていたと思う。しかしそれは今一悪に染まり切れない不安定な若造としての演技であって間違っても凶悪なヴィランとしてのそれではない。
繰り返すが、ルークはこの若者からかつて銀河を恐怖のどん底に陥れたダースベイダー以上の闇を感じ、闇討ちをしたと言うのだ。
ふざけるのもいい加減にしろと言いたい。あまつさえそれで心に傷を負い、隠棲した？
この映画を見る前「もしルークが闇落ちしていたら怒っちゃうかもしれない」などと冗談を言っていたがそれを上回ると言っても過言ではないあんまりな展開だった。
ついに明らかになったレイアの潜在能力や「もう全部あれでいいじゃん」と思わせるワープ特攻、フォースを使ったSkype対話等々今までのファンから見たら目を疑うようなシーンが多く見られた今作であったが自分にとって最も許せないのはこの旧三部作のテーマを全て否定したルークの扱いであった。
このような脚本を渡されたマークハミルは心から気の毒だと思うし、それでも演じきった俳優としてのプライドは本当に凄いと思う。
漸く本題に入る。上記のこともあって自分は途中からこの映画を見ていてもう質の悪いパロディ映画を見ているような気がしてならなかった。
そこで今回登場するのが『シターイ・ウォーズ-SITAI WARS- 新たなる恥棒』というわけだ。
アイアンマンの『アーンイヤーンマン』に代表されるように有名な映画というのはこのようにおもしろおかしなタイトルでパロディAVになるものらしい。
シターイウォーズはこんなストーリーのようだ。
SF映画の金字塔、いやハリウッド映画の超名作といえるあの作品が遂にパロディとして登場！
劣勢の同盟軍は絶倫暗黒騎士ダース・スペルマーの軍門に下ってしまうのか、それとも救世主ルーク・スカイファッカーの力を借りて銀河に平和をもたらすのか…
ラストシーンのレイプ姫、ルーク、ハン・ダチによる3Pはポルノ史に残る名場面になること必至。
名脇役たちのパイオツーディーツー、センズリーピーオー、シコッテバッカといった面々もリアルに登場！
断っておくとどちらがマシかとタイトルに銘打っているのだからしっかりと見比べているんだろうと思われるかもしれないが自分はこのパロディAVは全く見ていない。申し訳ない。最後のジェダイの方も2回以上見るほど肝は据わっていない。
だがこの紹介文だけでも読み取れることはある。
両者ともにキャラクターが崩壊しているのは想像に難くない。旧三部作では絶対にやらなかったことのオンパレードなのは見なくても伝わってくる。文字通りこれまでのSTAR WARS感を粉々に砕いてくれるだろう。
そして片方しか見ていないのに言うのもなんではあるが最後のジェダイと新たなる恥棒のどちらがマシかと言われたら、自分は新たなる恥棒のほうが恐らくマシだと思う。
新たなる恥棒は最初にしっかりと【パロディ】と銘打っており厚顔無恥にもEP8などと壮大なサーガの続編を名乗っていない。
タイトルや登場人物の名も微妙に変え、これは本物ではないと誰にでもわかるようになっている。
間違ってもレンタルビデオ店の暖簾をくぐってSTAR WARSの続編見たさにこれを手に取る人はいない。
映画評論家町山智治氏は最後のジェダイについてざっとこのように評しているそうだ「これまでのSTAR WARSの定番を打ち破り脱却している素晴らしい作品、過去キャラの扱いが気に入らず怒るのはお門違い。」（直接は聞いておらず伝聞を記しているのでもし異なるところがあればご指摘いただきたい。良くないことで本当は直接聞くべきなのだが自分はそこまで心が強くない。）
このように評価している評論家は国内外問わずたくさんいるようだ。
そしてインターネット中に溢れるSTAR WARSファンの中には「STAR WARSの全てを愛するのが本当のファン、嫌ならば辞めればいい」と言う人も散見される。
評論家の方々に是非この新たなる恥棒もレビューしていただきたい。最後のジェダイをはるかに超える満足度だと思う。
STAR WARS関連のグッズは何でも集め、愛するという方々にもしこのパロディのタイトルが本当にSTAR WARSの名がついていたらやはり中身は関係なく神聖視するのか？と問いかけたい。
