ロマとかタイ舞踊みたいな魅惑的な身のこなしが圧倒的に美しいんだけどそれと同時に身の毛がよだつほど恐ろしい 絡め取られていく兵士たちがフィギュアスケートを踊るように絡め取られて踊り狂って沼に沈んで死んでいく、馬は沼に沈み、甲冑の重みで溺れ・・・
いろんなアート、コンテンポラリーダンスとかを取り入れてるんだろうけど、見ているともう画面に釘付けで、ああ、やめて・・・もうやめて・・・でも目が離せない！と呆然としてしまう、そこに一人取り残される聾の兵士、
この後の展開も素晴らしく恐ろしいから是非見て欲しい
2. "The Very Pulse of the Machine"
衛星イオの表面で調査をしていた二人の宇宙飛行士が事故に遭い、生き残った一人がもう一人を引き摺りながら脱出を目指すが、そのために使った薬物の過剰摂取で幻覚を見るようになり、死んだパートナーの声が聞こえるようになるがそれはパートナーではなく、、、という話
イオの組成について幻覚が語りかけてきて、それはなに？それはなに？という問いかけから答えを導くシーンがゾクゾクします
3. "Night of the Mini Dead"
ミニチュアのゾンビアポカリプス。最後の puff!!! が最高、文字通り、遠くから見ると喜劇、なのか
ほかに、殺人マシングマと特殊部隊が戦う話とか、オブラディン号の帰還まんまの海の怪物との邂逅の話とか、とにかく全部捨て話なしの良さなのでみんな見て

個人的に思い入れのある曲を30曲。順位は上位のもの以外は割とテキトー。
イントロがカッコ良すぎる。曲全体としてはそんな好きじゃないけど、たぶんイントロだけだと300回近く聴いた。通して聴いたのは3回くらい。
『ケツメイシ - 海』
ケツメイシと言ったら夏歌、夏歌といえば「夏の思い出」だと思うけど、個人的にはこっち。メンバーのラップがまだ完成されてない感じとオールドスクールなトラックが最高。
リリースをカットされたピアノフレーズがかっこいい。割と中田ヤスタカの曲は楽器を重ねて空間を埋めるように編曲された曲が多い印象だけど、この曲はかなり隙間を意識して作られてて好き。
中田ヤスタカと言えばPrefumeだけど、断トツでこの曲が好き。コンプレクストロみたいな構成のトラックで、いろんな楽器や音色が入れ替わり立ち替わりするのが良い。こういう編曲、しかもJ-POPの歌物でっていうのはなかなかない。
相対性理論は10代の頃に死ぬほど聴いた。メランコリックな曲が多いけど、この曲は明るくて良い塩梅。「荒川アンダーザブリッジ」懐かしいですね。
『宇多田ヒカル - time will tell』
よく行ってたクラブで朝方流れてた曲。この曲を聴くと当時の朝の渋谷の匂いとか景色が蘇ってくる。
元々知ってて良い曲だなとは思っていたけど、何かのイベントでこの曲の弾き語りを聴いて泣いてしまった思い出がある。この曲で涙を流せる純粋さはずっと持っていたい。
デビュー当時の、着うた系ギャルR&Bみたいな曲も好きだったけど、この曲以降の西野カナはかなりいい曲多い印象。個人的に「パッ」とかも好き。
「L'Arc～en～Ciel - winter fall」
普段はそんなに歌詞を意識して音楽は聴かないけど、Hydeの比喩に比喩を重ねたような歌詞は結構好き。
神前暁が作編曲した楽曲で一番好き。田中秀和の楽曲と迷ったけど、オタク受けとか関係なくこの曲は良い。
所謂「歌物」ロックから一曲。この疾走感に初期衝動が感じるような曲、いつまでも好きなんだろうなって思う。
『岡村靖幸 - ビバナミダ』
80年代風スタイルにどこかフレンチハウスっぽい風味も感じる編曲が最高。岡村靖幸は昔の曲じゃなくて最近のバキバキのトラックの上で歌い上げてる曲の方が好き。
『Avec Avec - おしえて』
10代中盤から20代前半まで、Maltineをはじめとするインターネットレーベルにハマってた。こんなにスウィングさせても成立するんだって当時はかなり衝撃的だった曲。こんなにビートがヨレてる曲は正直世界中探してもこの曲だけだと思う。
『FLIPPER'S GUITAR - さようならパステルズ・バッヂ』
華奢でまだあどけなさが残る二人のルックスに楽曲に全てが最高。どの曲にしようか迷ったけど、一番爽やかなのはこれかな。完全に後追いなので、渋谷系をリアルタイムで体感してみたかった気持ち。
『Cornelius - NEW MUSIC MACHINE』
個人的には小沢健二よりCorneliusの方が好き。楽曲も実験的で、アルバムごとにコンセプトも違うから聴いてて飽きない。
当時付き合ってた彼女がカラオケで歌ってて、そこから好きになった。元々全然聴いたことなかったけど、いろんな楽曲を聴いてみると、ブルーノートがとにかく多い。ポップスというより完全にブルースシンガー。
独特なプラックのフレーズにチープなピアノフレーズ、原田郁子のボーカル全てが最高。シンプルな2stepビートが気持ち良すぎて、部屋で一人踊りまくってた思い出。
『PUNPEE - Bad habit』
HIPHOPと言えば今はTrapだが、Boom bapでもなくまさかのJuke。コードワークはめちゃくちゃお洒落で他に類を見ない楽曲。
こういうエレピでゴリ押すタイプのアーバンな楽曲が大好きなんだが、その中でも断トツ。エモいとはこのこと。
『YEN TOWN BAND - Swallowtail Butterfly 〜あいのうた〜』
Charaの「Junior Sweet」と悩んだがこっちにした。
日本で一番好きなバンド。全曲共通してコード進行がお洒落すぎる。
昔はセルアウトなんて言われていたけど、RIP SLYMEの良さが分かった時「HIPHOPは２周目」みたいな風潮もあった。この曲はPESがトラックを作っているけど、DJ FUMIYAのトラックはマジでヤバい。今聴いてもぶっ飛んでるし、5人でもっと活動してほしかった。
夏の終わりのなんとも言えない気持ちを上手く表現してると思う。この曲を聴くと、何年経っても鬱屈した10代の頃を思い出してしまう。
Japanese 2stepの名曲。編曲のシンプルさに、サビ後半のベースラインで何杯も飯が食える。
『KinKi Kids - Kissからはじまるミステリー』
山下達郎Worksから一曲。シティポップとnew jack swingが融合したような楽曲。本人が歌ってるバージョンも好き。
『ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION - 或る街の群青』
高校時代鬱になって不登校の時期があった。そろそろ行かないと出席日数がヤバいと言う時に毎日聴いてた曲。「蹴り出す速度でどこまでも行けるよ」って歌詞が当時の自分に刺さりまくった。
『Nujabes - reflection eternal』
唯一のインスト曲。出席日数がヤバくて学校に行ったものの、授業をサボってラグビー部の部室裏で聴いてたのが懐かしい。曲としては完成されすぎてる。サンプリング元が優秀だってのはあるけどね。
『iの数式 (imoutoid's ComplexFunktion Remix)』
亡くなった今でもカルト的に人気のある伝説の天才トラックメイカー、imoutoid。僕の人生で一番好きなアーティストでもある。ダンスミュージックはテクノロジーの発展により進化するものだけど、2007年くらいの技術で高校生がこの曲を作ったと思うと驚きを隠せない。imoutodはダンスミュージックのトラックメイカーとしてのセンスはもちろんのこと、J-POP的な分かりやすさに作家性も兼ね備えていた。生きていたら今頃世界的なアーティストになっていたと思うし、今聴いても新しい。
『livetune - ファインダー（imoutoid's“Finder Is Not Desktop Experience Remix”）』
好きすぎるのでimoutoidからもう一曲。無駄な音が一切なくて完成されすぎている。ハイハットだけで何倍も飯が食える。彼がメジャーレーベルから出した楽曲はこの一曲のみなのでめちゃくちゃ貴重。
間違いなく人生で一番聴いた曲。J-POPとはどこか前向きなメッセージが込められているものだと思うけど、この曲は人生の気怠さを歌っている。しかも国民的スターだったSMAPがだ。この曲は「愛があれば壁を乗り越えられる」とも「努力は報われる」とも言ってない。ひたすら過去を思い返して「夜空ノムコウにはもう明日が待っている」だ。とてつもなくリアル。今後も聴き続けるんだろうなと思う。

毎日YouTubeを楽しんでいますが、特に "ゆっくり動画 "が好きです。
"ゆっくり動画 "とは、日本文化のシャイネスとハイコンテクストをベースに、ゲームキャラクターの頭部を模したインターネットミームを機械音声「AquesTalk」で喋らせ、様々な話題を説明するスタイルの動画です。ゆっくり動画をアップロードしているチャンネルは、例えば以下の通りです。

このスタイルの動画は、日本ではコアな人気を博しています。しかし、最近、私の好きなゆっくり動画チャンネルが、収益化の停止により、活動停止や路線変更を余儀なくされることが多くなっています。
アップロード者が動画内で機械音声ソフト「AquesTalk」を使用している場合、YouTubeのアルゴリズムが不当に大量コピーされた動画と判断することがあると聞いたことがあります。AquesTalkの機械音声技術は、ゆっくリ動画には欠かせないものですが、それが原因で削除の対象になった優良動画も少なくないそうです。
アップロード者が自分の声を使えばいいじゃないか」と思う人もいるかもしれませんが、ゆっくり動画のキャラクターとAquesTalkの声は切っても切れない関係にあり、日本のインターネットの一角の文化として定着しているのです。
AquesTalkを使って作られた多くのゆっくり動画は、決してスパムでも価値のないものでも、大量生産されたものでもありません。そして何より、私はゆっくり動画の持つ知的な文化が好きなのです。動画削除ボットのミスで、この文化が消えてしまうのは嫌です。この意見が親愛なるYouTubeチームに届くことを心から願っています。

This style of videos have gained core popularity in Japan. Recently, however, a number of my favorite Yukkuri video channels have been forced to cease their activities or change course due to the suspension of monetization.
I have heard that if the uploader uses "AquesTalk" machine audio software in the video, YouTube's algorithm may determine that the video has been unfairly mass-copied. AquesTalk's machine voice technology is essential for Yukkuri videos, but many good videos have been subjected to deletion because of it.
Some people may think, "Why don't the uploaders just use their voice for themselves?” but the characters of the Yukkuri Video and the voice of AquesTalk are inseparably linked and have become a part of the culture of a corner of the Japanese Internet.
Many Yukkuri videos made using AquesTalk are by no means spam, worthless, or mass-produced. And most of all, I like the intellectual culture of Yukkuri videos. I don't want this culture to disappear because of a video deletion bot's mistake. I sincerely hope that this opinion reaches dear YouTube team.

なんでfactorioが「プログラマがやるべきゲーム！」みたいに推されてるのか正直よくわからない。
yak shaving(問題を解決するための問題を解決するための問題を解決するための問題を…がずっと続くこと)はプログラマのたしなみ(かつ、楽しみ)ということだろうか？
opus magnumとexapunksがオススメ。なぜならプログラミングするためのリソース(コード行)が無限だから。
spacechemとshenzhen ioとtis-100もプレイしたことあるが有限リソースだからパズルになってしまう。
制限がきつすぎるとプログラミングゲームっぽさが薄れちゃうって思う。

最近のプログラミング系のゲーム(教育的？な意図が前面にある感じのゲーム)というカテゴリで割と最初期に有名になったゲームだと思います。プログラミング系ゲームの歴史は知らないけど。
実行したときに「一手戻る」機能があってバグ取りにやさしい仕様だと思います。
あっさり解けてしまったのでもっとステージが欲しい！って思いました。同じ会社に100年務めてるみたいな状況でも面白かったと思うし。

今日Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL 2)関連の記事を読んで、そういえばWSL 2をまだインストールしていないことを思い出した。数か月前にWSL 2をインストールしようとしたものの、何かの理由で中断したのだ。改めて

を少し読んでその理由を思い出した。手順1でMicrosoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux 機能を有効にするときに
ここで、手順 2 に進み、WSL 2 に更新することをお勧めしますが、WSL 1 のみをインストールする場合は、マシンを 再起動 して、「手順 6 - 選択した Linux ディストリビューションをインストールする」に進むことができます。 WSL 2 に更新するには、マシンの 再起動を待ってから、次の手順に進みます。
と再起動が必要になるが、次いで手順3でもVirtualMachinePlatform 機能を有効にしてまた再起動が必要だという。2回も再起動が要るのか、と億劫になって後回しにしたのだった。
しかしその時も思ったのだが、どうも手順1の日本語が妙だ。WSL 1をインストールするときにはマシンを再起動。WSL 2に更新するときもマシンの再起動。どちらにしろ再起動が必要なら、こんな書き方をする必要はない。「ここで、再起動します。WSL 1のみインストールする場合は手順6に、WSL 2の場合は手順2に進みます」のようになるはずだ。
そこで英文に当たってみると、

となっている。この英文だけからでは私の英語力ではどう解釈すべきか自信がなかったが、そもそも手順1と手順3の機能有効化はWindows + X キー→「アプリと機能」→「プログラムと機能」→「Windows の機能の有効化と無効化」の設定を変更する操作と思われる。このダイアログで2か所変更したいとなったとき、1個変更してマシンを再起動してから、残りの一つを変更してまた再起動する必要があるだろうか？いや、ない。ということから、先の英文でのwait to restart は「マシンの再起動を行い、それが終わるのを待つ」ではなく「マシンの再起動を思い止まる。再起動しない。」の意味と思われる。
※ ひょっとすると「マシンの 再起動を待ってから、次の手順に進みます。」を、私は第一感では再起動すると解釈したが、再起動しないと解釈する人が多いのかもしれない。であれば、私の国語力不足だ。
ウェブ上の辞書でwait to ～ を調べると、大体はcan't wait to ～ で「待ちきれない、すぐにでもやる」という意味を大きく載せていた。また、手元のジーニアス英和辞典第4版を引いたが、「思い止まる、～しない」という意味ははっきりとは載っていなかった。あまりない用例なのかもしれない。
このWSL 2のインストールドキュメントは機械翻訳ではなく人の手によるものと思うのだが(最近の翻訳技術の向上はすごいらしいので断言はできないが)、翻訳する人もなかなか大変だなと思った次第。
そして、この文章を書くのに疲れたので、WSL 2のインストールはまた後回しになりそうだ。CentOS をインストールしようと思っていたが何やらサポートが終わるらしいので、ゆっくり候補を考えようと思う。
GNOME（Window Manager）を知ればXについて知る、Xについて知れば今度はDisplay Managerについて知る、
みたいにどんどん降りていって、最後にCPUの中のANDだの論理演算の部品まで分解できて納得できればいいのだろうけど、
それやったらそれだけで人生を終わりそうなので、どっかで打ち切るしかない。
機械の中の幽霊、Ghost in the Machineという本があって、これは攻殻機動隊のGhost in the Shellの元ネタの一つでもあるのだけど、
コンピュータを知らない遅れた文明の人達はコンピュータを理解できないのではないか、という話なんだけど、
機械の文明までしか知らない人にコンピュータを渡しても、分解しても分解してもなぜ動作するのか理解できない、
何が言いたいかというと、コンピュータを分解してネジや歯車が出てきたとしても、ソフトウェアは出てこない。
この話は自分にはツッコミ所があるように思えるのだけど、言いたいことは分からんでもない
元増田もそういう人だと考えると分かりやすいというか、コンピュータが苦手な人の理由の一つはそういうことではないだろうか
つまり、そういう理由でコンピュータが苦手な人は、ネジや歯車で動作するものは理解できるのだ
しかし、箱の中でよく分からんもの、ソフトウェアが動いてよしなにやってくれるというのは、たしかに幽霊みたいなものだろう
もちろん、そんなはずはなく、ソフトウェアは物理のディスクに刻まれていたり、メモリに記憶されているものだし、
その仕組みは当たり前だが物理学として矛盾するわけでもない、未知のテクノロジーでもない、
しかし、分解して分かるわけでもない、触れない、文字の集まりを見ても分からない、ソフトウェアって幽霊みたい、
そう思う人がいてもおかしくない気がする
