開発会社のレア社は、ようやくキネクトの呪縛を解かれたらしく、Oneで海賊の完全新規ゲームを開発中らしい。

開発会社のSumo Digitalには6年越しのシリーズ新作という重責を乗り越えることができるのか？ という期待が集まる。

シリーズは、Haloシリーズの傍流であり、Warsシリーズとしても、1が360に、本作2がWindows、Oneにリリース予定である。
開発会社のCreative AssemblyはTotal WarシリーズでRTSの開発には定評があるらしく、初心者かつゲームパッドでもプレイしやすかった前作1に負けない出来を期待したい。
