★☆☆☆☆ Not a More Cardio Wii Fit, Rather a Disaster of a Product, July 16, 2009
The concept is fantastic but the wiimote/sensor interaction is too finicky. It made the workout too frustrating. Specifically:
- If the way you hold the wiimote/nunchuck is off even slightly, the exercise stops and waits for you. You have to guess what it's waiting for.
- There reps are not timed to the music and there's no consistency to the timing. Instead of getting into the flow of the reps, it waits for you before it does the next rep. There's too much "thinking" time between reps making it hard to get a good flow to your workout.
- When doing reps, it's normal to anticipate the next rep, but this game does not allow for that. You finish a rep, the program goes back to the top of its do loop and then it does the next rep. It's very choppy - there's no smooth rhythm to the reps.
- If you move even a little faster than the "follow me" droid it stops completely (like its giving up), puts a note on the screen and waits for you to go back to the top of the rep.
- The instruction videos take FOREVER to demonstrate a simple exercise. Between that and the delay between reps, there's lots of down time.
Overall, I found it very frustrating because every time my workout started to flow, something interrupted it. I've had the Wii for over a year, and play with it daily so I don't think it's a learning curve issue.

Day Three: In Tokyo for Yoko Kanno Concert
The show @ Saitama Super Arena was absolutely incredible...3 hours long! It was a real mix of J-pop, symphonic, musician's music (jazz-rock, funk, etc) and beautiful ballads. I sang The Garden Of Everything duet w/ Maya Sakamoto - @ rehearsals I was having a rough time memorizing the crazy words (even more trippy than Hendrix or Lennon) but in the end I nailed it. When I did "Could You Bite The Hand" the crowd went nuts clapping in time throughout the song, just my acoustic guitar and 17,000 people! It was the biggest crowd I've ever "fronted" before - what a rush man. When I got to Call Me, Call Me they were like putty in my hands. Later in the show I came back and did a killer version of Rain as a duet w/ Mai Yamane. It was really good to see everyone again....I only wish we could do this more often.
Day Two: In Tokyo for Yoko Kanno Concert
The 1st rehearsal was a trip, lots of staging, etc. The first time I appear onstage I perform 3 songs in a row starting with a duet w/ Maya Sakamoto "The Garden Of Everything". We start out on opposite ends of a long stage and move toward each other by the end. As I reach the other side of the stage with my wireless microphone, an acoustic guitar and mic stand rise up from out of the floor, I strap on the guitar and do "Could You Bite The Hand?" - When I'm done I set the guitar back down, it disappears into the floor with the mic stand and I finish with "Call Me, Call Me" backed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. Pretty Awesome. Later in the show I come back for a duet of "Rain" with Mai Yamane and back her up on "Gonna Knock A Little Harder". It's gonna be an amazing show!
Day One: In Tokyo for Yoko Kanno Concert
Happy July 4th! I am just now waking up in Tokyo. On the plane there were many people wearing surgical masks and constantly washing with Purell. It was a 12 hour flight so I slept a bit, worked on learning the words for Yoko's concert that I'm singing on here and watched some movies/tv. Typical boring flight. When I got in to Narita airport my contact, Cherry met me and took me to where I"m staying - Hotel Sunroute Plaza in Shinjuku section of Tokyo. After I cleaned up we went out for something to eat and although I had my heart set on sushi she took me to a place called Momma's - a homestyle Japanese place that serves little dishes of different stuff, like their version of tapas. Anyway, I did have some octopus sashimi...but also uni flavored tofu, raw scallop and a strange salad with lettuce, red pepper raw tuna & octopus, raisins, cashews & cheese. When I got back to the hotel and passed out right after. I just awoke to white skies and bizzare shaped buildings outside my window. Now I'm off to have an equally adventurous breakfast...

Therefore, We prohibited the access from foreign countries, to defend our culture.
Sorry for you of the fan that lives in a foreign country.

Why minori blocking foreign accesses?
We are little perplexing now because we received a lot of response about this issue from foreign people.
Now we will tell you the short detail about the reason why blocking you to this website, because of we, all Japanese EROGE makers were facing at the problem, the crisis of "Freedom of speech".
Currently, The bill that allows to limiting the content (It is censorship. Isn't it?) to all EROGEs is being discussed in the Diet because intellectuals and politicians said "Japanese EROGE were being problem and troubled with the foreign country. Therefore we should make EROGE hidden away from foreign country, and also its content should be limited and censored".
Okay, now we trusted the word what they said at once. So we blocked you to make stay away from the trouble.
...Do you like that?
If not, please tell your idea directly to Japanese government and politicians.
(For example, you can write the letter to the administration of Japan directly from here.)
(If you can comprehend Japanese...There is information of the politicians in Japan.)
Otherwise, you just can talk your idea about this issue at your blog or other media to inform the existance of this problem to the public. It would be very helpful for us.
If you do so, we might be able to recover the "Freedom of speech" and the barricade lying in between us would be taken away.
Please help us.
We hope this separation would be only for short moment.
Sincerely.

Does WHO recommend screenings at country entry and exit points to detect if ill people are travelling?
No. We do not believe entry and exit screenings would work to reduce the spread of this disease. However country-level measures to respond to a public health risk are the decision of national authorities, under the International Health Regulations 2005.
Countries that adopt measures that significantly interfere with international traffic (e.g. delaying an airplane passenger for more than 24 hours, or refusing country entry or departure to a traveller) must provide WHO with the public health reasoning and evidence for their actions. WHO will follow up with all of its Member countries on such matters.
Travellers should always be treated with dignity and respect for their human rights.

How can I protect myself from influenza A(H1N1) when I am travelling?
People who are ill should delay travel plans. Returning travellers who become ill should contact their health care provider.
Travellers can protect themselves and others by following simple prevention practices that apply while travelling and in daily life.
When I was 18 y/o, I went to a festival with my friends. After I enjoyed it very much, I walked back home. I found a kingyo in a plastic bag which was tied to a tree. Though I didn't want it so much either, I thought it would die soon if I didn't help it. So I returned home with it - I didn't know if it's a male or female.
I told my mother that I brought a fish, she prepared a tank for it. The fish became a member of our family.
I should tell you its name. But I can't do so because I forgot to give it a name. It was just called "kingyo".
Some months later, I had to leave my hometown to go to a university. My parents have two children, a daughter and a son. The daughter had already married and moved out. After that, I also left home, and they remained by themselves. I think they felt lonely.
When my father called me, he didn't have many things to speak. So he told me about 'my' kingyo which was left at the home. Though I wasn't interested in it, I was glad that my father wanted to speak with me. I think they took care it instead of me. Every time I returned home, it became bigger.
Later, my father died, and my mother followed.
The fish was left to me. It is still alive. Its length is about 15 cm. Now I feel a little love for it. But it doesn't still have a name.

We analyze fiscal policy and fiscal sustainability in Japan using a variant of the methodology developed in Blanchard (1990). We find that Japan can achieve fiscal sustainability over a 100-year horizon with relatively small changes in the tax-to-GDP ratio. Our analysis differs from more pessimistic analyses in several dimensions. First, since Japanese net debt is only half that of gross debt, we demonstrate that the current debt burden is much lower than is typically reported. This means that monetization of the debt will have little impact on Japan's fiscal sustainability because Japan's problem is the level of future liabilities not current ones. Second, we argue that one obtains very different projections of social security burdens based on the standard assumption that Japan's population is on a trend towards extinction rather than transitioning to a new lower level. Third, we demonstrate that some modest cost containment of the growth rate of real per capita benefits, such as cutting expenditures for shrinking demographic categories, can dramatically lower the necessary tax burden. In sum, no scenario involves Japanese taxes rising above those in Europe today and many result in tax-to-GDP ratios comparable to those in the United States.
iPhoneか日本のケータイか:小鳥ピヨピヨ(a cheeping little bird)

from now on I try to write down my diary here everyday because I want to improve my English skill.
Today I talked with my friend, eating lunch. He majors in comparative literature.
I didn't know how I can say "hikaku bungaku" in English. So I asked him how I can say it in English, then he answered "you can say comparative literature."
I had no idea what it is like because I don't know much of it.So I wanted to ask him about that.
But he had little time to explain that, for he had to attend the intermediate presentation of the papers,or "chukan happyo".
he complained about the presentation because he can't get enough "constructive" opinions.
"Generaly speaking, the professors in Japanese univ aren't interested in education." ,I said.
"Yeah, they tend to give critical opinions rather than constructive one", he said.
He also told me that that's one of the reason he prefers writing feedbacks rather than speaking one.
