Because John McCain was asked the same question by then Google CEO Eric Schmidt earlier in the year (May 2007), when he was invited to Google.
,
President Obama's aides noticed that and prepped him for it. President Obama could have gone prepared with a better answer but Dr. Eric Schmidt coulda followed up with a harder question, which is common in interviews for software development or engineering positions. So, he decided to use humor as a response.

How to Begin and End Email
Beginnings and endings are a challenge in most activities, but in email getting off to a good start and ending positively will strengthen the communication and increase understanding.
Start with a specific subject line.
Choose the better subject line in each pair below:
1. a. New Phones
b. New Phone Installation: Your Action Required
2. a. Update on Development of Sales Model
3. a. Summer newsletter
b. 10 Great Tips for Summer vacation
In number 1, the second choice conveys a sense of urgency and action, whereas the first choice falls flat. In 2, the longer title focuses the reader on which update the email is explaining. In 3, you don’t really have much choice. Who would take a?
Next comes the greeting.
Examples:
• Hi, Fred and Lauri.
• Hi, team.
• Greetings, everyone
• Good morning, Sayed. (If Sayed this message in the morning)
• Jian, we are looking forward to meeting you next week.
• To: Finance and Administration Team
• To all employees:
• David,
• Ruth, Mala and Felicia:
The last five examples must be on a separate line at the top of the message. All the others can be either a separate line or at the beginning of a paragraph.
Choose the greeting that matches your relationship with the reader(s) and the purpose of the message. “Hi” is friendly but too informal in certain situations—for example, in response to a request for a proposal. “Hello” is friendly and professional. “Hey”is too informal and slangy for most messages.
“To” followed by a pronoun like “all” or the name of a group sounds professional but does not convey warmth. Warmth is required in all messages, but please remember that you must always consider the position of the receiver.
Avoid gender-based greetings such as “Ladies.” Even if the group you are writing it is all women, some among them will object to this greeting.
Do not greet people whose name is included on the Cc line. Only greet people whose names are on the To line of the email.
The punctuation of greetings is a topic for discussion. All the punctuation used in the list above is correct. Some people use “Hi team” and “Hello Robin” without the comma, but traditional writers retain the comma. The reason is that these words are in “direct address.” When we directly address the reader, as in “Hi, team” (or in the example that begins with “Jian”) the name is separated from the other words by a comma.
“Dear Mr. Mathews” is followed by a colon in a business letter and in an email that replaces a business letter. However, it is also acceptable to use a comma after a
“Dear” greeting in a business email.
In a quick exchange of email with someone it is not necessary to continually greet your reader. Compare such an exchange with putting the person on hold on the telephone. When you return to the phone call, you say, “Thanks for holding. I have the information: rather than “Hi Laurie.”
The last sentence of an email is like the last words of a phone call. They may be a quick signoff or a courteous close, depending on the formality of the communication.
Examples:
• See you in Tokyo!
• Have a great trip!
• I will email you in August to schedule lunch.
• Please call me again with any questions
• Thanks again for all your help with the design.
• Thank you for your cooperation. We appreciate the opportunity to work with you.
Avoid continually using “Have a great day!” or similar expression as your closing sentence. It became meaningless with constant use and it is a bad fit with email that communicates a policy or serious announcement.
It is not wise to save a request for action or approval until the end of the message. Email readers do not read to the end of a message when they believe they have gotten the main point already.
A complimentary close—yes or no?
Business letters typicall end with phrases called “complimentary closes” such as “Sincerely yours,” “Best wishes,”and “Best regards.” A complimentary close is not required in email. However, business email often uses such a close to sound formal, look professional, or simply communicate courteously.
Examples:
• Sincerely,(the most formal of the list)
• Best regards, (professional)
• Warm regards, (professional and warm, as you would expect)
• Regards, (less friendly than the other 2 regards choices)
• With best wishes, (or) Best wishes, ( professional)
• With thanks, (professional and grateful)
• Ciao! (friendly and rather informal)
• Cheers, (friendly)
A word like “Greetings” does not belong in a close. It may be used in the last sentence, though, to greet others who might see the message:
• Please give our greetings to Dr. Carr
• Greetings to your colleagues in Systems Research
Although people frequently use “Thanks” as a close, it is not standard, and careful writers avoid it. Do not use “Thanks in advance” as a close, because many people find it presumptuous. Rather than “Thanks” or “Thanks in advance,” create a better sentence, such as “Thanks for considering my request.” Or use “With thanks” as a complimentary close followed by a comma.
Advice for those who receive less-than-perfect Email. You will sometimes receive email that is less than perfect, which means you might feel a bit offended by them. My advice to you on this is to get through them and leave them behind. Bring a bright smile to your face and a kind tone to your email reply. Forgive those whose writing was clumsy, abrupt, or annoying. They were merely experiencing moments of being human and imperfect.
Multilevel Marketing Plans
Produced in cooperation with the North American Securities Administrators Association
November 1996
Multilevel marketing plans, also known as "network" or "matrix" marketing, are a way of selling goods or services through distributors. These plans typically promise that if you sign up as a distributor, you will receive commissions -- for both your sales of the plan's goods or services and those of other people you recruit to join the distributors. Multilevel marketing plans usually promise to pay commissions through two or more levels of recruits, known as the distributor's "downline."
If a plan offers to pay commissions for recruiting new distributors, watch out! Most states outlaw this practice, which is known as "pyramiding." State laws against pyramiding say that a multilevel marketing plan should only pay commissions for retail sales of goods or services, not for recruiting new distributors.
Why is pyramiding prohibited? Because plans that pay commissions for recruiting new distributors inevitably collapse when no new distributors can be recruited. And when a plan collapses, most people -- except perhaps those at the very top of the pyramid -- lose their money.
The Federal Trade Commission cannot tell you whether a particular multilevel marketing plan is legal. Nor can it give you advice about whether to join such a plan. You must make that decision yourself. However, the FTC suggests that you use common sense, and consider these seven tips when you make your decision:
Avoid any plan that includes commissions for recruiting additional distributors. It may be an illegal pyramid.
Beware of plans that ask new distributors to purchase expensive inventory. These plans can collapse quickly -- and also may be thinly-disguised pyramids.
Be cautious of plans that claim you will make money through continued growth of your "downline" -- the commissions on sales made by new distributors you recruit -- rather than through sales of products you make yourself.
Beware of plans that claim to sell miracle products or promise enormous earnings. Just because a promoter of a plan makes a claim doesn't mean it's true! Ask the promoter of the plan to substantiate claims with hard evidence.
Beware of shills -- "decoy" references paid by a plan's promoter to describe their fictional success in earning money through the plan.
Don't pay or sign any contracts in an "opportunity meeting" or any other high-pressure situation. Insist on taking your time to think over a decision to join. Talk it over with your spouse, a knowledgeable friend, an accountant or lawyer.
Do your homework! Check with your local Better Business Bureau and state Attorney General about any plan you're considering -- especially when the claims about the product or your potential earnings seem too good to be true.

This website cannot be browsed excluding Japan.
Some foreigners seem to be having an antipathy against EROGE.
Therefore, We prohibited the access from foreign countries, to defend our culture.
Sorry for you of the fan that lives in a foreign country.
minori Inc.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why minori blocking foreign accesses?
We are little perplexing now because we received a lot of response about this issue from foreign people.
Now we will tell you the short detail about the reason why blocking you to this website, because of we, all Japanese EROGE makers were facing at the problem, the crisis of "Freedom of speech".
Currently, The bill that allows to limiting the content (It is censorship. Isn't it?) to all EROGEs is being discussed in the Diet because intellectuals and politicians said "Japanese EROGE were being problem and troubled with the foreign country. Therefore we should make EROGE hidden away from foreign country, and also its content should be limited and censored".
Okay, now we trusted the word what they said at once. So we blocked you to make stay away from the trouble.
...Do you like that?
If not, please tell your idea directly to Japanese government and politicians.
(For example, you can write the letter to the administration of Japan directly from here.)
(If you can comprehend Japanese...There is information of the politicians in Japan.)
Otherwise, you just can talk your idea about this issue at your blog or other media to inform the existance of this problem to the public. It would be very helpful for us.
If you do so, we might be able to recover the "Freedom of speech" and the barricade lying in between us would be taken away.
Please help us.
We hope this separation would be only for short moment.
Sincerely.

WHO is not recommending travel restrictions related to the outbreak of the influenza A(H1N1) virus. Does WHO recommend screenings at country entry and exit points to detect if ill people are travelling?
No. We do not believe entry and exit screenings would work to reduce the spread of this disease. However country-level measures to respond to a public health risk are the decision of national authorities, under the International Health Regulations 2005.

// ==UserScript== // @name Keyword to Technorati // @namespace http://anond.hatelabo.jp/ // @include http://d.hatena.ne.jp/* // ==/UserScript== var keywords = document.getElementsByClassName("keyword"); for(var i=0; i<keywords.length; i++){ keywords.item(i).href = "http://www.technorati.jp/search/" + keywords.item(i).textContent; }
// ==UserScript== // @name Technorati with Wikipedia or ?keyword // @namespace http://anond.hatelabo.jp/ // @description Add Wikipedia in Technorati search page // @include http://www.technorati.jp/search/* // ==/UserScript== var keyword = (decodeURIComponent(document.URL).split("?")[0]+" ").slice("http://www.technorati.jp/search/".length, -1); function appendKeyword(title,body,url){ var div = document.createElement("div"); div.style.border = "inset gray thin"; div.style.padding = "5px 14px"; var h2 = document.createElement("h2"); h2.innerHTML = title.link(url); h2.style.fontSize = "2em"; div.appendChild(h2); var content = document.createElement("div"); content.innerHTML = body; div.appendChild(content); div.appendChild(document.createElement("hr")); var foot = document.createElement("div"); foot.innerHTML = "["+decodeURIComponent(url).link(url)+"]"; foot.style.textAlign = "right"; div.appendChild(foot); //document.getElementById("main").insertBefore(div, document.getElementById("main").firstChild); document.getElementById("extra").insertBefore(div, document.getElementById("extra").firstChild); } GM_xmlhttpRequest({ method: "GET", url: "http://wikipedia.simpleapi.net/api?output=json&keyword="+keyword, onload: function(response){ var wp = eval(response.responseText); if(wp){ appendKeyword(wp[0].title, wp[0].body, "http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/"+encodeURIComponent(wp[0].title)); }else{ GM_xmlhttpRequest({ method: "GET", url: "http://d.hatena.ne.jp/keyword?mode=rss&ie=utf8&word="+encodeURIComponent(keyword), onload: function(response){ var hk = (new DOMParser).parseFromString(response.responseText, "text/xml"); appendKeyword(keyword, hk.getElementsByTagName("description").item(1).textContent, "http://d.hatena.ne.jp/keyword/"+keyword ); } }); } } });

Giro Orita was one of a team of veterinarians who arrived in Syria in October 1964 in response to a request to the Japanese government from the Syrian Ministry of Agriculture. When the Japanese team completed its mission in 1968,
the Syrian government invited Dr. Orita to stay and continue his work, as well as foster collaboration in animal health research between Japan and Syria.
In 1983, when the Syria-based International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) asked the Japanese government for help to develop small-ruminant pathology research, Dr. Orita was delegated by JICA to lead the institute’s animal health research as a visiting veterinarian. In 1985, Dr. Orita received the Syrian Medal of Distinction (second rank) from the Minister of Culture.
He left ICARDA in 1990 but continued to promote relationships between ICARDA and Japanese organizations. ICARDA later named a new animal health laboratory after him.

Thanks for your response. Maybe you're right.
But it is not about English skill, but is about whether you think about it nor not.
Of course, ther is no right or wrong answer to it.
So now I wanna hear your answer. What would you say?

Re:I Love you!
http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.php?MT=re&kind=ej&mode=0&base=1&row=3
re2
http://www.trans-usa.com/mike/oldnanda25.html
re your enquiry of the 3rd March"(3月3日付の貴殿のお問合せについて)とか、口語でも "I want to speak to re your behavior."(あんたのする事にちょっとモンクがある)なんて、威圧的で威張った言い方をするヲジサンがいたりした。

Re:I Love you!

Subject:
Subject:
Subject:
Subject:
http://www.puni.net/~mimori/rfc/rfc2822.txt(Internet Message Format)
The "Subject:" field is the most common and contains a short string identifying the topic of the message. When used in a reply, the field body MAY start with the string "Re: " (from the Latin "res", in the matter of) followed by the contents of the "Subject:" field body of the original message.
