といっても性的ない意味じゃない、スピリッツとかヤングアニマルとか、日常の中での大人のどろどろとした部分だとか複雑な人間関係、テレビで取り上げられるようなサラリーマンやニッチな職の人たちとは違う裏社会的な職の人たちのストーリー、書いてる漫画家さん達の実体験が篭ってるんだろうか、漫画の中の登場人物の悩みや駆け引きとかが生々しくて結構面白い、これは今まで漫画といえば少年ジャンプ、もしくは母が買ってるflowersとかの漫画しか読んでこなかった俺だからこう思うのかも知れない。
さて世の中には漫画やゲーム等を「たかが」という言葉で毛嫌いする人達がいる、自分も一時期そう思っていた時期があった、これは娯楽ものの中身が薄いからそう思うのかも知れない、じゃあ成年コミックの中身は薄いのか?、俺はそんな事はないと思う、むしろかなり濃いと思ってる、サラリーマンの人たちを中心に課長島工作のシリーズがヒットしてるのも今なら納得だ、漫画から映画になってる作品もあるのだし。

「読書感想文に決して書いてはいけないこと。」で，読書感想文について触れられていたので少し．
「本を読むことで人間は変わる」
……という物語なのです。
「この本を読んだことで私はこのように変わりました」
……という、美しい物語を描いてください。
何を考え，感じたのかを「ありのままに表現してください」とか言われても，困る．
心の内側を，赤の他人になんか見せたくない
僕は，大切なことは心にしまっておきたいんです．
不特定多数の他人なんかに，教えたくは無いんです．
そこで僕は考えた．
ストーリーは単純明快で，「ひ弱な主人公（ナード）がある日突然強力な力を手に入れ，世界を守る」というものである．
このような構図は，例えばマトリックスやトランスフォーマーなど多くのアメリカ映画に見れるが，何故だろうか．
アメリカの中学生，高校生を理解するのに不可欠な概念として，その階層構造が挙げられる．
この階層構造は，主に体育会系の支配者層（Jock；ジョック）と，非体育会系，日本で言うオタクなどに相当する被支配者層（Nerd；ナード）で説明される．
またこの背景には，スポーツを趣味とするのが是であり，それ以外の文化系の趣味に勤しむことは変人である，というアメリカ的価値観などが関係していると言われている．
多くのアメリカの映画，ドラマではひ弱な主人公（ナード）と，その主人公の邪魔をする嫌な奴（ジョック）が登場し，また最終的にはひ弱な主人公（ナード）が何らかの活躍をするものが多い．
これは作品の消費者，つまり国民全体に占めるナードの割合が多いこと（一般的に非支配者層は，支配者層より人数が多い），作品の監督など文化人にナード出身が多いことが理由であると言われる．
さて，このような階層構造を理解した上でこの映画を眺めてみると，………

主人公であるチャーリーの日記という形で物語は進んでいき，チャーリーが白痴から天才へ，そしてまた白痴へと戻っていく過程を鮮やかに描いている．
本書はダニエル・キイス著「Flowers for Algernon」の訳書であり，翻訳はアイザック・アシモフ著「I, Robot」（邦題：われはロボット）などの翻訳で有名な小尾芙佐氏が行っている．
本書でも，時間経過（知能の変化）によって変化する日記の文体など，氏の文章構成力が光っており，恐らく氏以外の翻訳ではここまでこの小説が有名になることは無かったのでは無いかとすら思わせる．
しかし残念ながら，物語の発端となるチャーリーへの人体実験については，その非科学的なリアリティーの欠如から，物語を素直に楽しむことができなかったのもまた事実である．
物語中では，ネズミのアルジャーノンの結果が出る前に，チャーリーへの実験を開始しているが，動物実験が終わっていない治療方法を，人体に試すことがあるだろうか？
こうした常識的な「科学的考察力」の欠如は，現代社会における様々な問題の一因ともなっているとも言える．
マイナスイオン，水からの伝言（水に「ありがとう」というと綺麗な結晶ができる，という都市伝説），血液型占いなど，これらは基礎的な科学の心得があれば，疑ってしかるべきものである．
SF小説では，いかにしてアイディアに科学的リアリティーを持たせるかが重要な鍵の一つであり，例えばアーサー・C・クラークは軌道エレベータ，………

つまり物語そのものだけじゃなくて，その周辺情報について解説・評価すれば，自分自身の内面世界を全く描写することなく，楽々と（しかもそれっぽく）文字数を稼ぐことができる．
先生受けも，それなりに良い．
例：作品が書かれた社会背景と作品の関連についての解説，著者の他の著書や業績，社会に与えた影響，作品の一部分を抜き出してその社会現象について解説する，…
問題は，普段からのそれなりの読書量，周辺知識が無いと書けないこと…かな．
