G:KotMの初期の数字を見ると、これがかなり大きな失敗に向かっていることは明らかだ。
次回作(現在のところ最終版)は来年公開予定の「ゴジラvsコング」。
その映画はすでにポストプロダクションの段階に入っているので、KotMの失敗を考慮して中止になることはなさそうだ。
では、Legendaryにはこれ以上何ができるのだろうか。
KotMは異常値のようだ。
Legendaryは、Monsterverseの存続はすべて、KotMとGvKがどのように受け入れられるかにかかっていると述べている。
どうすればGvKを成功に導くことができるのでしょうか?
この時点でまだ可能ですか?
Monsterverseはまだ存続可能なのだろうか、それともこのシリーズは 「Failed Cinematic Universe」 シリーズに追加されるだけなのだろうか。
With early numbers for G:KotM coming in, it seems clear that this is headed towards being a rather large flop.
The next (and as of now, final) film planned for the Monsterverse is "Godzilla vs. Kong", set to be released next year.
With that film already deep into postproduction, it seems unlikely that it will be cancelled in light of KotM flopping.
So what more can Legendary do? The first Godzilla and Kong made good money and were well-received by critics.
KotM seems to be the outlier.
Legendary has stated that the continued existence of the Monsterverse all hinges on how KotM and GvK are received.
How can they turn GvK into a success?
Is it even still possible at this point?
Can the Monsterverse still be viable, or is this just another franchise to add to the Failed Cinematic Universe pile?
