中学２年の英語でifを教えていて、テキストに

You can ask me if there is any question.

みたいな内容があって、一瞬びびってしまった。

中２レベルでの解釈では、

何か質問があったら私に聞いていいですよ

としかならないのだが、高校で疑問文の間接話法（ask one if）を習うと、

何か質問があるかどうか私に聞いていいですよ

直接話法に読み替えると

You can say to me, "Is there any question?"
「何か質問はありますか？」と言っていいですよ

とも読めてしまう。
