Some of you may be aware that when I was a young boy, my mother brought me to Kamakura, where I looked up at that centuries-old symbol of peace and tranquility -- the great bronze Amida Buddha. And as a child, I was more focused on the matcha ice cream. (Laughter.)

子供のころ、母親が鎌倉へ連れていってくれた。何世紀もの間、平和と静寂の象徴であり続けた大仏を そのとき見上げたのだが、子供だった私は抹茶アイスクリームへの関心の方が強かった。
知っている人もいるかもしれないが、少年時代、母に連れられて鎌倉を訪れ、平和や静けさをたたえた大仏 を見上げた。子供の私は抹茶アイスクリームにより魅せられた。
ご存じの方もいるだろうが、幼い頃、母が私を鎌倉に連れてきたことがある。何世紀にもわたり平和と 静寂の象徴だった巨大な青銅の大仏を見上げたものだ。ただ、子どもだった私は、抹茶アイスの方に夢中だったのだが（笑い）。
