○ 脳腸相関とは？
機能性消化管疾患の患者さんを診療していて気づくのですが、おなかの症状だけでなく、眠れない、落ち着かない、頭痛、食欲がない、意欲がない、などの精神神経症状を訴えられる患者さんがたくさんおられます。
腸のせいで脳に影響しているのか、脳のせいで腸に影響しているのか難しい悪循環になっているように思えます。「脳腸相関」として医学的には以前からよく知られた現象として有名です。
これまで、便が軟らかくなりやすい下痢型の過敏性腸症候群の患者さんに対しては、「ストレスが原因ですから、生活などのライフスタイルを見直すことが重要です」といった説明をすることが治療の出発だったわけです。ところが、最近の研究によりこのような脳腸相関をある程度科学的に説明することが出来るようになってきました。
過敏性腸症候群の病態においては、腸内フローラの異常、短鎖脂肪酸などの腸内環境の異常により、腸から脳への信号伝達に異常が生じているようです。
消化管内腔の粘膜細胞に刺激が加わると、この信号は迷走神経下神経節を介して延髄孤束核へ、また、脊髄後根神経節を介して視床、皮質へ伝えられると考えられています。これが内臓知覚といわれるものです。この内臓知覚には消化管壁内に存在している内在性知覚ニューロンからの信号も関係していると考えられています。
特に、この内在性知覚ニューロンの情報伝達にはセロトニン３受容体（5-HT3受容体）が関与していると考えられており、過敏性腸症候群の下痢型の治療薬として5-HT3受容体の拮抗薬が著効することが証明され、臨床応用されています。腸内細菌のなかで神経伝達物資であるγアミノ酸（ＧＡＢＡ）を産生する菌があることも確認されています。
この菌が少ない子どもは、行動異常、自閉症などになりやすいとされています。自閉症の子どもに対して腸内環境の改善による治療が試みられています。

私たちが脳で幸せを感じるもとになる「幸せ物質」のひとつがセロトニンなのです。このセロトニンが脳内で正常に作用すると、ヒトは前向きな気持ちを保ち、幸せを実感し、健康ですごせるとされています。
セロトニンが不足すると、怒りやすく、時間が経過してもそれを抑えられなくなり、キレやすくなるようです。
実は、このセロトニンは腸管で作られているのです。さらに、このセロトニンの生成に特定の腸内フローラが関与することが明らかになりました。
無菌マウスの血中セロトニン濃度が通常環境で飼育されているマウスに比較して低濃度であり、無菌マウスは落ちつきがなくなるようです。
このようなマウスを普通の環境に戻したり、乳酸菌などを投与すると、マウスは落ちつきを取りもどします。子どもの脳の発達には腸内細菌の働きが大変重要であるようです。

有用菌を増加させるために最も重要なものが食物繊維です。特に水溶性の食物繊維が大事です。

That said, native speakers and even some of the competent non-native speakers often use much more complex vocabulary and rhetoric like you’d see on 4chan, especially on /pol/. Personally I’ve never seen a single Japanese with that level of fluency except for 帰国子女. And I wouldn’t consider someone to be truly 英語ができる or ネイティブレベル unless they’re at that level. Just my two cents.
I went to a language school in UK for a bit. My grammar sucked tbh but I was somewhat good at speaking. There wasn't much grammar study. It was more like training each pattern again and again. Like you train "so that" pattern in 10 different settings for example. Then I came to the states and just started working. You swim or drown situation. I didn't wanna drown obviously so did everything. I memorized thousands of vocabularies, read hundreds of magazines and mangas, watched tons of sitcoms and animes, practiced differentiating and pronouncing vowels and consonants, limiting myself to only search in English, basically anything you can think of except using Japanese materials as I didn't find it helpful. It'll be a book if I go into the details but you got the idea.

Puberulic acid (1)7, stipitatic acid (2)8 and viticolins A and B (3, 4) as novel natural products have been isolated from a culture broth of Penicillium viticola 9 FKI-4410 through our screening system and found to have promising antimalarial activity (Fig. 1)10, 11. In these highly-oxygenated 7-membered aromatic compounds, 1 shows the most potent antimalarial activity in vitro against the Plasmodium falciparum K1 (chloroquine-resistant) parasite strain (IC50 = 0.050 µM), as well as in vivo efficacy with 69% inhibition for a dose of 2 mg/kg × 4 through subcutaneous (s.c.) administration in 4-day suppressive test using a P. berghei-infected mouse model12. However, 1 exhibits toxicity in vivo, four out of five mice dying by day 3, after a s.c. dose of 5 mg/kg × 2 (day 0 and 1). While structually simple compounds such as tropone (5), tropolone (6) and hinokitiol (8), and natural 2 and 3 showed weaker activity than that of 1, 7-hydroxytropolone (7)13 was much more potent, exhibiting a >18-fold stronger IC50 value of 6.44 µM than that of 5. Herein, we report the divergent synthesis of several related troponoids, including natural products, via utilization of the established total synthetic route of 1 15, and biological evaluation of their in vitro antimalarial activity and cytotoxicity.
