Was told "no foreigners" by a clinic
I just recently moved to a new area in Tokyo, I called a nearby clinic to make a reservation (in Japanese) and pretty quickly into the conversation, the receptionist asked if I could go somewhere else instead. When I asked why, she clearly and blatantly said "they don't take foreigners." I was shocked so I asked again just to make sure I heard right and again she said they don't take foreigners.
When I accused the clinic of discrimination they tried to deny it and claim that "it's difficult to communicate with foreigners," though I've never had that issue at any other Japanese speaking only clinic or hospital.
If this were just a bar or something I'd drop it, but the fact that a CLINIC can blatantly discriminate against patients seems insane to me. I'm not expecting much sadly, but is there anywhere I can report them?
I'm paranoid about just leaving bad reviews because I've seen a first hand case of someone getting sued over one.
UPDATE:
I called a "patient voice" hotline for reporting these sort of things. I explained the situation and they said they would contact the clinic. They later updated me and said they were actually able to talk to the doctor, and he just doubled down and insisted they did nothing wrong because "communication with foreigners is difficult." After that they basically could not do anything else other than offer sympathy lol...

I also called this government hotline. First they tried to refer me back to the patient voice hotline. After I explained the results from patient voice, they said they are going to determine if it warrants an investigation, which would take 2-3 weeks. They also warned that the clinic is allowed to decline the investigation... so honestly I'm expecting nothing. But they said they would contact me again in 2-3 weeks.

酵母アレルギー
昨日の塩麹のブームの火付け役になった人がＴＶで取り上げられていましたが、味噌、醤油などの発酵食品は身体によいと思いこんでいる人が殆どだと思います。しかし、酵母菌がアトピーや喘息の発症因子になっている人が時々おられます。即時型アレルギーの場合、口にしてすぐに症状がでるので自覚できますが、遅延型アレルギーの場合は食べてから半日から数日して症状がでるのでどの食品が犯人なのか分かりません。遅延型アレルギーの検査（ＩｇＧ抗体を調べる）は日本ではできませんのでアメリカに検体を送らないといけません。そのためコストがかかりるのが欠点ではありますが、原因物質が判ればあとはそれを除去するだけで皮膚炎が劇的に改善するケースがあるので長い目で見ればやって損はない検査です。
先日もビール酵母の強い反応がでていた患者さんが、味噌、日本酒、納豆などの酵母由来の食品を除去したら劇的に皮膚炎が改善した方がおられました。交差反応といって、同じ系統のものにも反応を起こすことが知られていますので、ビール酵母だけでなくその仲間の酵母由来のものも控えていただかないといけない場合があります。
難治性のアトピー性皮膚炎、大人になってから発症した喘息、慢性的な微熱などでお困りの方は一度ＩｇＧ抗体の検査をお受けになることをお勧めします。

人生で初めて中絶を、しかも海外(先進国です)で経験してきたのでその一部始終等を書こうと思います。
衝動的に書き始めてしまった上に、初めての投稿で思ったより長く、読みにくくなってしましました、すみません。
他に同じような内容をポストされてる方がいるかわかりませんが、似たような境遇の人たちの参考にでもなればいいし、そうでない人たちにも暇つぶしにでも読んでもらえれば嬉しいです。
やばいと思ったので12時間以内にスーパーの薬局で緊急避妊薬を購入
(私がいる国では薬局で処方箋なしで緊急避妊薬が買えます。値段は4000円ほど。)
3週間経っても生理がこないので妊娠検査薬で検査したら妊娠発覚...
確率は諸説ありますが避妊失敗から12時間以内の緊急避妊薬の服用で90%以上の確率で避妊できるのはたしかっぽいのにどうしてこんなことに...
妊娠発覚してから、一般的にみなさんどれだけ悩まれるかわからないですが、私の場合はほぼその場で「中絶しよう」と決心していました。
理由としては３点:
2)経済的余裕がない
じゃあ普段から低容量ピル飲んどけよって話なんですが、そこについては反省しました。
「地名 abortion clinic」みたいな感じでググると自治体のWebページが出て来ました。
基本的に中絶は自治体が承認した少数の病院でしか行われません。
今回私が選んだ病院は中絶・避妊専門の病院で、その病院ではほぼ朝から夕方まで営業時間の間ずっと中絶行為が行われていました。
私の選んだ病院はどちらか好きな方を選べて、私は電話が苦手なのでウェブで申し込みました。
最後の生理からどれくらい経ってるかとか、持病の有無とか、自治体の健康保険に加入してるか否か、みたいな質問が続く問診票を埋めたら仮予約は完了です。
病院からのメールは、プライバシーの保護の観点からメール自体にはほぼ何も書いてなくて、ウェブ上のメールサービスへの招待と、そちらでやり取りをしようという内容でした。
こうすることによって中絶の情報を、特に職場でメールを見る人たちが多いので、他人に見られる可能性が減るのだそう。
費用は無料でした。中絶手術そのものに加えて、手術前のカウンセリング、手術後に始めた低容量ピルも無料でした。全部自治体の健康保険でカバーされるらしい。
ちなみに、保険未加入でも日本円で50000円弱と日本に比べてかなり安いみたいです。
いよいよ中絶手術当日がやって来ました。
予約はお昼でしたが、朝から何も食べるなとの指示があったのでお水を飲んで凌ぎました。
病院に着くと、玄関のドアに鍵がかかっていてインターホンが。押してみると看護師さんが応対してくれて、名前と予約時間を告げるとドアのオートロックを開けてくれました。
びっくりしたんですが、このドア、なんと二重扉になっていました。
1枚目のドアを入ると受付から入った人が見えるように透明な小部屋のようになっている短い通路があって、そこの奥に2枚目の扉があります。
看護師さんは怪しい人間がいないことを確認して2枚目のドアを開けるそうです(付き添い禁止の病院だったので付き添いを入らせないためでもあるっぽいです)。
受付をすませると緑のガムテープを2切れ渡され、スマートフォンのインカメと外カメを覆うようにはりつけろと指示をされました。ここでもプライバシーの保護が重きが置かれていました。
待合室はシンプルです。ソファが並んでいて、ウォーターサーバーがあって。
一つ特殊な点があるとすればサイドテーブルに山盛り避妊具が置かれていて、好きなだけ持っていけるようでした。
15分ほど待つとカウンセラーさんに呼ばれてカウンセリングです。
ここでは手術の具体的な工程の説明をされ、その上で中絶をすることに対して罪悪感があるか、どのように罪悪感に対処しているか、など精神科っぽいカウンセリングを受けます。
このカウンセリングで、日本との中絶に対する姿勢の差を強く感じたのは、そのカウンセラーさんが言ってくれた「あなたはきちんと自分のやったことに対して責任を持っているわ」という言葉でした。
こちらの国では中絶も一つの選択肢である、と認められていると感じます。
もちろん中絶に反対する活動家の方はいらっしゃるようですが、少なくとも医療関係者が患者に説教したり、否定的な言葉をかけたりすることはありませんでした。
「中絶は善でも悪でもなく、医療行為の一つである」という共通認識がしっかりあって、個人の選択が尊重される風潮がある。
これで随分精神的に楽になりました。
トイレで下着を脱いで、妊娠を確認するための尿検査をした後、病院で渡された巻きスカートのようなものに履き替えます
妊娠の確認が取れると、抗生物質と強めの痛み止め・吐き気どめを処方されるので飲んで、薬が効き始めるまで待ちます。
30分ほどカーテンで囲われた大きな一人用ソファでリラックスしたあと、いよいよ手術室に呼ばれました。
まずは看護師さんが採血をしてくれます。これは梅毒やHIVの感染の有無を調べるもので、強制ではありません。その後麻酔兼気分がふわっとする薬を注射してくれます。
そして先生がやってくると、まずは超音波で再度妊娠の有無を調べます。
潤滑剤ベタベタの避妊具をかぶされた直径3cmくらいの器具を挿入されて、具体的にどの位置に胎児がいるかを確認します。
薬で多少気分がぼけっとしていたので記憶が怪しいのですが、子宮口を器具で広げられ、クラミジアや淋病の検査(こちらは必須でした)のために細胞？を採取されたあと、吸引機を挿入、吸引開始されました。
この吸引、めっっっっっっっちゃ痛い。麻酔全然効いてない(個人差があるようです)。5分ほどでしたが、これも報いかと思いつつ人生で一番痛い経験をしました。
手術が終わるとあらかじめ用意していたナプキン付き下着を履かされ、手術前に座っていた大きな一人用ソファに戻され、麻酔が抜けるまでまた30分ほど休憩です。
そして手術後の出血が酷くないことを確認されたあと、術後の注意点が書かれた紙を渡され、すべての工程が終了しました。
注意点としては2週間膣内に何も入れないこと(タンポンもダメ、お風呂もダメ)、出血がやばい時は病院直通電話番号があるのでそちらにすぐに電話することを告げられました。
帰宅に関しては、タクシー帰宅を厳命されたので、タクシーに乗って帰宅、即布団へ倒れこみ次の日の朝まで寝ていました。
術後の経過はいたって良好でした。徐々に出血は減っていき、2週間ほどでほぼ出血がなくなりました。中絶後初めての生理もちょうど3週間後に来ました。
避妊のためもありますが、低用量ピルの服用は中絶で傷ついた子宮の回復と、生理週間を正常に戻す手助けをする作用もあるようです。
特に問題がない場合は術後の診察も必要ないとのことだったので、あれから特に病院へは行っていません。
中絶、めっちゃ辛い(精神的にも物理的にも)。もう二度としたくないですし、するようなシチュエーションに陥らないように対策はしていきたいと思います。
罪悪感はもちろんあります。中絶前・中絶後共に「本当に堕してよい(よかった)のか...この子(胎児)の命を私の勝手で奪ってしまって許されるわけがない...」など考えました。
カウンセリングがなければ精神的な辛さはもっとひどかったと思います。
自分の選択に責任を持って、などと大それたことは言えませんが、自分の意思で堕したということはしっかり胸に刻んで避妊を徹底していきます。
今回海外で中絶をして、社会福祉の一環として中絶がサポートされているなと感じました。
低用量ピルを服用していても100%妊娠を防げるわけではない以上、日本でも緊急避妊薬や中絶は選択肢として、もう少し身近なものになってもいいなと思います。
私はセックスが好きです。彼氏とセックスするときはとても幸せです。スキンシップは大事です。
なので妊娠はしたくないですがセックスはします。もちろん、自分でできうる限りの避妊はしますが、妊娠してしまうときには妊娠してしまうと学びました。
ですが女性の人生プランにおいて、子供ができるということが必ずしも歓迎できることではないシチュエーションは存在すると思います。
中絶は褒められたことではないですが、そういう場面に直面したとき、頭ごなしに否定するのではなく中絶も一つの選択肢として受け入れられていけばいいなと思います。

自分の経験、感じたこと・思ったことを書かせていただきました。
賛否両論あるかと思いますが、あくまでも私個人の感想であって、社会がこうあるべきだ！！とか、日本が間違ってる！！とか言いたいわけではないです。
ただ、同じような境遇の方や関係者の方が、本当に追い詰められた時に、中絶が必ずしも悪いことではないと言っていた人がいたな〜くらいに思い出していただければ幸いです。
